It pains me to write this because I enjoy the food here but wont be back again at this location. This was my second time here with my family and twice our server was Alex. The customer service was beyond terrible BOTH TIMES if I could give it a NEGATIVE TEN I would. The second time was the cherry on the cake. We were seated and weren’t greeted til damn near FIFTEEN MINUTES. We were even considering walking out if someone didn’t show up in the next 2 minutes. Mind you our waiter Alex walked past our table several times to check up on the table previously seated across from us. Not only that, but upon us getting seated noticed that he was just standing/sitting around with the fellow waiters by the bar talking and texting. Like a simple “Hey guys I’m Alex your server I’ll be right with you.” But to just be off in the corner in visible sight on your phone and talking to your coworkers knowing your table got seat because he walked past us a few times without even acknowledging us IS WILD. It was like that the first time he waited on us. Opting to stand off in the corner on his phone while we waited on him after reminding him several times for a drink refill, extra sauce, and even a high chair for my kid. Not to mention he was there at the host stand when we walked in and the host greeted and seated us. He had such an indifferent almost borderline “I don’t want to be here serving you” attitude. As a result our whole mood was ruined because we were really looking forward to eating out. Then another table across from us of two gentlemen gets seated and less than 5 minutes Alex comes over to great them and promptly takes their order. Like WHAT. THE. HELL. A total of possibly 3-4 times this guy checked up on us and I credit that to that fact that there was an issue with one our meals. I guess we should’ve been thankful because the first time around it was possibly just three times. Finding Waldo was easier than spotting our waiter Alex the first time he served us mind you it was a random non busy weekday and a empty restaurant. This location appears to be staffed with teenagers or young adults that appear to care less about their jobs or do the bare minimum to stay hired. I noticed several of the staff our waiter included off to the side either seated at the bar talking or texting while guests like myself and family sat waiting around to be served. My experience yesterday after was AWFUL and that’s just saying it in the nicest way possible. I was once a teen/young adult working as a waiter and given this economy I know how difficult at times the job could be. My partner and I were willing to tip more than a generous amount. However, our waiter Alex had an attitude and aura as if he didn’t want to be there or that he made up his mind that somehow we were shitty tippers. I’m not sure what it was but to experience that attitude and type of service TWICE with him. Yeah, IT’S A WRAP. Never giving this place my business again, and if you HAVE to eat here I pray Alex isn’t your server. I’ve seen birds give more attention to detail then our...
Read moreI have gone to Taco Mac for many years since it opened, but they have now lost me as a customer after this night. About 15 minutes after we sat down, we noticed an excessive amount of kids running around the restaurant with no parental control. We even witnessed a server almost lose an entire tray of drinks over it. About five minutes later one older man who is sitting with his wife closest to this chaotic group starts yelling at the kids to stop being rude and to sit down. Granted that he probably did not say it in the most polite way, he was perfectly entitled to a peaceful dinner as the rest of us were. However the group of parents that had brought these demons didn't think so. One of the fathers decides to get in this man's face and starts cussing him out. It was so bad that a man from a completely separate party stepped in to cool this guy off. Then, out of the blue, another father throws his drink on this man. Absolutely out of line. This is where Taco Mac steps in to stop the problem. They separate the parties and the man who had just been physically and verbally abused gets on the phone presumably to call the police. We start to think less of it, and go back to minding our own business. However after 10 minutes or so we realize that the police are not coming. Not only that, but Taco Mac had re-seated half of the violent party outside. The man who was abused had left. We spoke to the servers and we both agreed that the larger party should have been removed from the restaurant and probably arrested. Taco Mac handled the situation so poorly it was sad. However the story doesn't end there. This large party who should even be here got to stay and ordered food. We had to wait two hours before even receiving food since they had to cook for these entitled jerks. Now I must say that the servers were very friendly and often came to check on us to make sure we were ok. Our original server ended up switching to go cook just to get the food out in time. However management executed this poorly. I came to Taco Mac to celebrate the completion of my Eagle Project and ended up getting my evening ruined. I understand that Taco Mac couldn't have prevented that these people would have acted in the way that they did, but this could of been handled way better after it happened. Taco Mac has been good over the years, but this has drawn the line. They lost my business and probably many others after tonight. I just wanted to thank the servers for feeling so akward and trying to make the best of it. You're the only reason this night didn't go from...
Read moreI would give it a zero. The service was lousy. They seated us and forgot about us. The place was almost empty yet we were just sitting there. As my husband and I were about to leave the waitress came to our table. By the way it was so uncomfortably hot. We said something about that to no avail. One of the waitresses said it's hotter by the window where the Sun shines in. The booths are the hottest places to sit in here. So my husband takes a stroll around to find a cooler area. Well there was no cooler area. We should have just left. After a long time we got our caso con carde and burnt, hard onion rings and hot pitcher of beer. Well we asked for a cold pitcher of beer. The manager felt the side of the cold glasses and pitcher and said let me go check. He left came back and said our brand of beer was coming out hot in the back where it came from. Next the waitress came to our table, asked if we wanted another brand of beer that would be cold. We changed flavors. After we finished eating we waited a good 20 minutes for our check. I told my husband to please call someone to our table or I was going to go to the car. So he saw the waitress standing over in a corner by the bar just looking around. He saw the manager closer so he asked for the check. After a while longer the waitress came over with the check and said 42 dollars. Well that was crazy. Then she said he needed to take one of the pitchers of beer off. Well we asked if they give military discounts. She said he gave you one. I said no he didn't. She said did y'all tell him, we didn't know. Well my husband had this retired decorated navy hat on that he wears everywhere he goes. Gee I wonder why those two never noticed. Finally she returns with our new check, practically throws it at us and says thank you really quickly as she leaves really quickly. It was horrible, horrible and we will never ever...
