Came here for dinner with my family of 5 on a Wednesday night. Ordered milk for my toddler, they said “sorry we don’t have milk”. Ok then he’ll have apple juice, “sorry we don’t have apple juice either”…. Lemonade was the only “kid friendly” drink.. took 20 min to get our drinks. We ordered chicken tenders for our toddler, server said “sorry we don’t have chicken tenders, we only have grilled chicken”. When we got our food, my husband ordered 1/2 (fries/onion rings) as a side. He only got fries. The server said “sorry, we are working on the onion rings”. And we asked for ketchup. They never brought ketchup, so my husband had to literally walk to the kitchen for someone to give us ketchup. By this time, we’ve had our food for like 10 min…. I don’t know about you, but who eats fries without ketchup??! Also we never received the onion rings til we left the restaurant. But the worst was, no one came to tell us, “sorry you never received the onion rings”…. That was the worst part. For them to not acknowledge that they didn’t serve the food that we ordered and expected….. i would have totally understood if a manager or someone came for a quick simple chat acknowledging what went wrong…the whole stress of the service, or lack thereof, ruined our night out as a family night out. Pictured are: kids menu grilled chicken (not chicken tenders like we wanted) and burger with only fries (no onion rings present like we had ordered)

We used to love Ted’s Montana Grill — it was a mainstay for us before COVID. The cozy atmosphere and aesthetic were always a big part of the draw. Unfortunately, our most recent visit was a shocking disappointment. I ordered the Delmonico ribeye (about 1/2 inch thick) for $42. For that price, I expected something memorable. Instead, the steak was thin, unimpressive, and honestly something I could have prepared better at home. For the same cost, I can buy two 1.5" thick ribeyes at Costco and cook them to perfection myself. That’s probably what I’ll do next time. To make matters worse, when my wife opened her utensils, her fork still had food stuck to it — completely unwashed. That’s simply unacceptable at any restaurant, much less one charging these kinds of prices. The quality and quantity of food used to be so much better here. Sadly, it feels like standards have slipped in both the kitchen and service. We honestly feel we could have gotten cleaner silverware and better quality food at Chili’s for a third of the cost. We left very sad and disappointed. Ted’s used to be a reliable, cozy spot for us, but after this experience, we won’t be returning.

Monday 9/22/26 2:30 pm restaurant totally dead. (should’ve gotten attentive service) that wasn’t the case. We ordered a burger with fries and a salad with salmon took forever to get our food. our waitress Hannah kept doing a disappearing act. fries came out cold we asked to have the fries remade. Jason The kitchen manager decided that it was a good idea to take the same fries and refried them. Now we have dehydrated fries that are warm. Asked if the salmon was even cooked on a cedar plank as it had no cedar flavor. Hannah couldn’t answer that question she didn’t know whether it was cooked in a cedar plank or how. She agreed that the fries were refried. Jason was so kind as to take the burger off the bill but would not come out to talk to us about the horrible meal and slow service. Therefore this forum will do. By the way there was one other table in that restaurant. We got there around 2:30. We left at 3:30 the only people in the restaurant the entire time was our table and another table. why was the service and the food so bad? So disappointed!! Ted, do better.

We visit this Ted's location monthly, sometimes more often than this. However, service and food quality control have reduced quite a bit. Today, we visited for dinner. Fries were twice fried and served cold, burger was warm but not grilled to requested medium to medium-well temp...all bison burgers were just 'well done'-looks like a culinary student was back there learning the ropes? If we weren't starving (because it took 1 hour to get our food in a restaurant that was 30% full), I'd have said something. But, since kids had to get to bed soon, and not sure what was going on back there in the kitchen, we just ate the burger rather than send the plate back. I did say something about the cold fries when the waitress decided to come around which wasn't often, perhaps we visited when it was close to their break time or busy working on closing duties? Could have been the latter because the host was making a racous doing double duty of resetting tables and dropping things on the floor. There were several other issues, too. I don't think anyone was expediting in the kitchen today and if there was, then they were doing a really terrible job as there were serious quality control issues- nasty wilted lettuce plus the end of the lettuce on my wife's plate (supposed to be a lettuce wrap somehow), onion rings cool to touch and twice fried, pickles to start with ends and stems on them with one that looked half eaten, etc. On Saturdays the place is buzzing, it's busy but food slowly gets out and service is usually at par-worth the wait generally. Once we came on a weekday evening and it was fantastic. Burger was medium (they get it right about 20% of the time and I never say anything as long as its served hot), every one had a great meal and service was phenomenal and server wasn't completely stressed out. Today is a Sunday, not sure if short-staffed or what, but will never ever return on a Sunday. I'll give this place 1 more shot on another day in the future, and if we have another experience like we had today, then will consider a Ted's farther drive away or just some other restaurant because there a ton nearby. Ted's isn't cheap and we visit because of the quality of food, which was truly subpar today. I'm not writing this to tear this place down (would have given all 1s in that case), but instead to give this restaurant an opportunity to build things back up. We want to see this place succeed. Ted's has a formula; we've been to several Ted's in different States. Quality control and consistency have to be there to succeed. Period. In a place like Alpharetta, lack of consistency at minimum can be make or break thing for this restaurant's success. Hopefully, the restaurant will take this review as constructive...

Dinner 7.22.25 at Avalon Server Alexis

A Truly Legendary Experience at Ted’s—Thanks to Alexis!

Every once in a while, you come across someone in the service industry who doesn't just serve food—they serve joy, charm, kindness, and the kind of genuine hospitality that makes your whole day better. Enter Alexis, our radiant, sharp-as-a-tack, heart-of-gold server at Ted’s.

From the moment my daughter and I sat down, Alexis greeted us with the kind of warmth usually reserved for long-lost family members (the kind you actually like). She knew that menu backwards, forwards, sideways, and with flair—guiding us with deliciously detailed recommendations like a culinary fairy godmother. And let me tell you—she wasn’t just juggling us. She had multiple tables, all full of folks, and yet every single person was smiling, satisfied, and clearly just as enchanted as we were.

And while it would be easy to focus on how stunningly beautiful she is (because wow—she is), what truly shines about Alexis is her heart. She’s got that kind of inner light that just pulls people in—genuinely kind, attentive, and authentic. Whoever raised this young woman deserves a standing ovation. Gold stars. Medals. All of it.

So enchanted were we that I asked to speak to the manager—not to complain—but to give this amazing young woman the praise she deserved. And wouldn’t you know it? The manager was just as delightful—gracious, present, and clearly proud of his team.

As for the food? Delicious as always. Ted’s does not miss. Everything came out hot, fresh, and full of flavor. The restaurant was spotless, the team was hustling, and every guest around us looked equally well taken care of. It’s a well-oiled machine powered by smiles, effort, and apparently a whole lot of heart.

Alexis didn’t just make our meal memorable—she made our evening magical. We’ll be back soon, and next time, we’re asking for her by name.

Bravo, Alexis. And bravo, Ted’s. You've got a gem on your hands.

Thank you, Laura...

The bison dishes are legitimate, and very well seasoned. Service is superb. Ask for Roxann!

Being a non-foody, where I cannot always tell the difference between a $2 and $20 burger. I decided to venture out with the family and try something different. ( full disclosure we could not get a table at a medeterranian restaurant).

My brother who lives in Alpharetta has always wanted to come here.

I would order some appetizers as it took them a while to get our large table food out in the middle of dinner rush. It was worth the wait.

The portion size is good but not huge. I ordered the bison ribs, and onion rings which I split with my family. I also got a bowl of chilli and a house salad.

The bowl of chilli was big and the house salad was a full salad plate. I could have eaten just those two and been full. I was super hungry so I did eat some of the ribs, which were so much more unique than pork ribs. They had a spicy more than sweet sauce and they were fall off the bone. They clearly had some love and attention given to them cooking in the kitchen.

I used a little ketchup, in my chilli to offset the jalepenos (again remeber I am not a foody). It was really good, not chunky, but also not made from just a can.

We also ordered. Fillet beef and bison at our table.

Kids meals were good and not too. Much food.

If you are lucky try to get Roxann as your server, she and the staff went above and beyond. I poorly counted on my reservation. They were so acccomdating, I felt so bad to make them do that extra work when it was a full restaurant. She was amazing. I think the service was about 20 times better than the food.

Would come here again,...
