Absolutely the best authentic Italian food you will find in Altamonte Springs or Orlando area by far freshly prepared everyday. The family is straight from Sicily Italy bringing generations of authentic home made Italian cuisine to the area. They even have a large portion of wall toward the back of the restaurant that has a picture of a square back home in Sicily that their home was literally right around the corner in picture. Now that was interesting to learn when I was talking with the Son and Mother that were running the restaurant that day. The owners are a father and son with mother seeing over everyday operations. I could feel immediately from the staff that were warm and welcoming that this was a family run business that treated everyone like family that come through the doors. The restaurant is smaller than the norm unlike a chain that packs people in for maximum profit. This restaurant was built purposefully to treat every customer that comes through there doors like family coming over for a authentic Italian meal. The son explained to me they purposefully found a smaller space to have this kind of atmosphere to be set apart from the rest. You definitely accomplished it in this setting. Now we come to the drink and food. If you have never had a sangria drink I highly recommend it here. I have honestly never had it before but this was sweet and absolutely delicious. I ordered the gluten free pasta which can be substituted with most meals there which was fantastic for me. As you can see in the photos I had pasta with red sauce cheese and grilled chicken that was to die for. It was delicious busting with flavor of many different ingredients. I also had the steamed Broccoli that had butter with olive oil on it was just right. Then I had the minastrom soup that blows away any chain restaurant by far. I took a picture of the soup with the back drop of the picture straight from Sicily Italy. It was a great feeling to imagine seating right there in Italy having a meal. My friend had the fettuccine Alfredo with chicken and also loved it. The price of the meal was fair with the atmosphere and authentic Italian cuisine. This is definitely a romantic place to bring a date or just having a good meal. I totally enjoyed this restaurant and will be back in the future. If you have never had authentic Italian cuisine this is the place to come right here. Give them a try you won't be disappointed. Tell them I sent you. 10/10 stars from me and you...
Read moreBest Italian I think I have EVER had. Came here on a whim. Had never been before. Was absolutely blown away by the quality of the food. Came here at dinner time on a Saturday and they were very busy with an hour wait. IT WAS WORTH THE WAIT. Our hostess was very kind and attentive. The restaurant was small and cozy but clean and orderly. Jam packed. Which I don't mind, it's a great sign, you never want to eat at an empty restaurant it's empty for a reason. The bread was hot and fresh. And the pesto like sauce it was served with was phenomenal. Just bread and sauce blew you away? Yes. The sauce had such a bold flavor I kept going back for more. But I didn't want to fill up on bread. The special for the day was Salmon Limone, so I got that. Chicken marsala. And Eggplant parmesan. I judge a good Italian place by their eggplant Parm, and my god for 15 bucks I got not one. Not two! But THREE hefty! Cuts of eggplant Parm. And it was crispy and saucy and cheesy and stacked to perfection. The salmon Limone was delicious and packed full of flavor. And the Chicken Marsala was the most tender chicken I've ever had it absolutely melted in your mouth. 2 of us split 3 very large entrees and left there absolutely stuffed! Which I was almost sad about because I couldn't make room for dessert, the dessert isn't even listed on the menu because it's made fresh and different almost everyday! Ask about what desserts are offered that day at the end of your meal. They had a variety of cake options, tiramisu and cannoli available on Saturday when we went. I didn't catch her name but our server was also wonderful and extremely attentive. I don't think she let either of our drinks even get halfway empty without topping them off for us. Not to mention the owner himself walked around the restaurant and talked to his guests and asked how everything was. The atmosphere here was so warm and welcoming and lively. One of the best meals I think...
Read morewow. to say this meal was a religious experience is an understatement. as someone with a gluten, almond, and sesame allergy it’s rather hard to find places to eat that are accommodating. by accommodating i don’t only mean able to eat there, but able to feel reassured that the meal i’m being served won’t end with me having a reaction of sorts. i was lucky enough to have Lauren as our server who was nothing short of an absolute gem. she was knowledgeable, reassuring, and incredibly kind throughout this entire experience. i got gluten free penne with pink sauce and chicken and as i was being handed my dish she made sure to reassure me that it was entirely gluten free. the meal was heavenly. i’m pretty sure that if i had to be granted my last meal it would be that exact dish. the chicken was perfect, the sauce was nice and creamy, and the pasta didn’t have any sort of weird taste (like most gluten free pastas). this dish tasted so amazingly that even my partner couldn’t resist stealing a few bites. i ate the entire meal so quickly and absolutely beaming the entire time. upon finishing our meal, our plates were quickly removed from our table and we were asked about dessert. while there unfortunately isn’t a dessert that i could eat due to my allergies, my boyfriend (who has no allergies) was ecstatic to try their tiramisu. as he was handed his dessert, our amazing server, Lauren, hands me some cannoli filling with a spoon- a dessert variation that i could enjoy. to be considered like that when dining here was an amazing experience and i cannot put into words how much i recommend this place. easily an 11/10 experience. and for those who are wondering, the tiramisu was “delectable” according to my boyfriend, and so was the...
