McDonald's — Restaurant in Alton

I went there tonight and there were only 2 cars in the drive thru. I pull up and am immediately asked to hold on. No big deal, I've worked fast food before. Well then a truck pulls up in the second drive thru lane and they are immediately helped. He pulls around and I tell the drive thru worker I'm ready if they are, no response. I say hello twice with no response again. Alright maybe their headsets are being screwy. So I decide I'll pull around and explain that no one came back to the speaker to help me. There was a car behind me. As soon as I pull off the speaker, they ask the next car if they can help them. So I'm stuck in the line and decide that I will just get out of the line and pull back around to order because I knew if I got to the window, I wouldn't have been my normally cheerful self. So I get to the speaker and am helped quickly. I finally make it to the window and the drive thru worker has forgotten a part of my order so they add it real quick. Just a cheeseburger they had forgotten to add. No biggie. I had ordered 2 medium fries and they say one fry is done but the other will be a few minutes because they just put a fresh basket of fries down. They ask if I still want the second fry. Umm yeah of course because why wouldn't I when I ordered 2 fries? So they tell me alright I'll have to pull you up until that fry is ready and I'll have the cheeseburger in the bag as well. I'm like ok thanks. I pull up and they get rid of the next car fairly quick. I sit there for like 5 minutes longer and the second car behind me points out to drive thru worker that my car is up there. And they say oh I forgot about them loud enough to where i heard it. It still takes at least 5 minutes for the worker to bring me the fry and burger. We start to drive off and the fries aren't even that hot. I've never had problems with this McDonalds before. I mean they've had lines around the building and i usually get through there fairly quick considering how busy they are. But tonight wasnt that busy and i was in the line a total of probably 30...

I ordered thru the mobile app and decided to have it delivered to my car. The order went thru without issue, and I pulled into the parking lot and the designated spot for pickup. I noted there was another car waiting when I pulled in. The drive thru was very busy, so I felt my decision was the best one. I waited nearly 10 minutes and neither I nor the other car were served. The drive thru continued to be busy. I also saw several cars were pulled up into waiting areas. Another 5 minutes rolled around and I noted the other cars that were asked to pull up were gone. Furthermore, the drive thru was slowing down, and both of us in the delivery pickup were still without food. Finally, at 20 minutes, the other car was serviced. I heard the young lady apologize, and say they were swamped. At this point, I was ready to go into the restaurant. I decided to give a few more minutes, expecting my order. By thos time the drive thru had cleared out. Soon enough our food was delivered. It was fresh and the fries were hot. The crew member was duly apologetic, using the same reason given the other customer ("We were swamped"). I will be hard pressed to do this again at this location. I have used it at the Bethalto store, and was promptly serviced. I considered calling management concerning my experience, but assumed that if manager was on duty, this behavior...

I stop here daily on my way to work and order just about the same thing every time. My order is easy, LG Caramel Iced Coffee. Some days I change it up and add an apple fritter to the mix. I've never gotten anything from this place in which I haven't ordered. I'm sorry to hear other people's reviews about color, or slow employees, or lack of customer service skills. I however did go there today and this gentleman tried to give me what was supposed to be a LG Caramel Iced coffee, and if you know what it looks like then when I describe this you will too know how wrong it was. It looked like the muddy Mississippi river was scooped into a cup and ice thrown on it. I said to him that it doesn't have cream in it. He then asked me how much cream I wanted in it. I did in the end get what I asked for but c-mon. This is one of the most popular drinks at McDonalds so if you don't know how to make it then get trained on it before you try to serve something like this to someone else. Most of the reviews I have read on here are from entitled people. Or people that think they are entitled. If these associates came to your job what would they have to say about you. Maybe you all should think about that before you write things and leave 1...
