Anyone supporting this store should be ashamed of themselves. There is nothing diffrent or special about the service, atmosphere or food than any other Subway. This particular store has "Donna" though.
I have been to the store 4 times and have seen the same older black woman berate and belittle her employees in front of customers. This was not managing or profesional, this lady was in full hysteria mode. Today marks my last time spending a cent there as I witnessed her physically threaten an employee. It was enough for me to ask the employee she threatened if she wanted me to call the police. I asked to speak to the manager and I was shocked to find out the psycho lady was the owner. None of this has anything to do with the times I have seen her be short with customers in the few visits I have made there. There isn't enough room for those accounts.
I run a large business and I often buy my employees lunch or dinner, calling in large orders. I normally visit the Subway on Washington, but I have used Broadway on occasion. After seeing what I saw today, I will be visiting no Subways for personally or business, until Subway takes action against their franchisee. Donna simply gives all of Subway a bad name. It is Firehouse or Jimmy Johns any time subs are on on the menu for us. And I would encourage anyone going to this location to reconsider. Read moreSo I have went to the same Subway twice in the past 2 weeks...on Broadway in Alton Il.... and the same sweet girl named Madalynn has waited on me, it's very obvious she is new but that doesn't give anyone any right to talk to her the way they did both times I was in the store. The first time was an older black woman who I was told was the owner..... I was in shock how this girl was being talked to in front of paying customers and how embarrassed Madalynn had to be, she looked liked she was on the edge of crying, I wanted to cry for her, the 2nd time was just 10 minutes ago and a white male was talking down on her because she had put the wrong chicken on the customers sandwich along with the wrong cheese and the customer was a friend of the white male obviously by how they were talking and I asked for a comment card and was told there wasn't any....and then he tends to tell me how it's been an eventful morning talking about Madalynn....and I just looked at him and had to tell him she did nothing wrong, we are humans, it's obvious she is new and he should take it easy on her and he responded saying he tries.....well no you don't try YOU DO IT! people think because they have a tiny bit of authority that they can talk to anyone in any type of way! That kind of service will make me not to ever buy from Subway again....and a note to Madaylnn, you are very sweet and kind and you don't deserve to be talked to like you do at your job! Read moreOk, I wanted to talk to the manager on a more personal level to ask her why she's so sterile. She is just to the point here it is no need to exchange words move on. I feel there's more to her and she's being judged unfairly. Yes, I see good in EVERYONE but...Something/someone made her this way. The food was great the older woman who served my daughter and I seemed to know people. (White woman) since it seems to matter. I heard her say, "your usual"?. To a few people. She was alright it appeared with the owner. I just wish I could have a chance since reviews do mean something to me, to actually understand this woman and give her a fair review. One I would feel comfortable with. I read all of these. Based on these, I would not of walked into the place. A racist, angry, dirty, hair in food place. I gave it 3stars because I think the food was good, it was clean and I think there's more to it all then meets the eye.
