Luigetta's Restaurant — Restaurant in Altoona

If you know Luigettas than you know and i dont need to tell you. For those who dont know Luigettas has been a staple of Altoona. Luigettas has been around for as long as i can remember and the best part is its always the same, which is a good thing. So many restaurants have gone down hill, some worse than others if you go to Luigettas you know tour going to get the same thing the same quality everytime. In fact we bought Mcdonalds for the kids and Luigettas for the rest of us and we got way more food for the money first of all, second we had a 20 minute drive of course the Mcdonalds was cold but Luigettas was still really warm the salad was still gresh and cold. There dressing is homemade and its a secret recipe and it has not changed that in aware of. The quality is always there the service is always prompt and accurate they never gave me the wrong thing or messed up my order. I get a cheesesteak with salad and it always tastes so good. I also havent heard anyone else complain about anything which is rare. They also have a great selection of milkshakes you can fill your belly and your sweet tooth all in one. There isnt much for atmoshpere but no one cares because you dont go for the atmosphere you go for the amazing food and the kind service. You will not be disappointed and i have worked in restaurants my whole life i know quality i give Luigettas a 5 star rating, that doesnt happen very often i do not give out...

I'm so done with this location. It was awful and gross 🤮 I got a meatball kiaser sandwich with cheese was cold like out the fridge cold with cheese that wasn't even SLIGHTLY melted like it usually is ( usually are really good meatball sandwiches) cheese balls were extremely overcooked that they were hard to even bite into and burnt looking (if I could post pics I would), and the dressing was like eating apple cider vinegar not a lot of base taste to it. Only thing that was good was my daughters crispy chicken salad with no dressing. So there went 30 bucks exclude the cken salad went down the drain. It's gone downhill. This location will never get my service again. I will gladly take my service to the Hollidaysburg location that is owned by a different owner, better and bigger selections, and has better customer service. I go here cuz it's easier and right up the street. I'm not even bothering to call and complain for it isn't going to get me nowhere. So anyone that wants to go here think twice and travel the extra 10-15mins and go to the one in Hollidaysburg. Trust me you'll thank me later. They are trained to take pride in their jobs and the food they serve the customers. They would never served the cheese balls the way I got mine tonite or any other restaurants for that matter. They should be ashamed...

Me and my sister have been going to this Luigetta's since we were kids with our mother and I think the food is just as good as it was 58 or more years ago and the service we received was very good the employees and owner we're very good to us and polite you ask them a question and they answer you with all the truth the food is just as good as it was then they are great compared to the one in Holidaysburgh witch is not a franchise with the original one at all I asked and the original one has better food and friendlier staff so I would go to a more friendly restaurant than one that's not and the dressing don't compare either it's the best...
