So I had procrastinated on getting a hotel for our event that we were there for this past weekend and of all the other choices that were still left I chose this one because of the reviews. And I was satisfied. I have stayed at hotels all across the country and I liked how personable the staff was I did like that on the bottom floor the rooms had a front and back door so I could just park up to my back door and Easy Transport in and out of what I needed to bring into the room or take out of the room. The way it's set up is that there's not a parking per se in the front that's designated to open grass area and the pool and so the parking are all the way around the building. It's very nice. I loved the spiral staircases that they had on the outside absolutely cool. They had a pool we were just there two weeks before it opened no problem. All of the doors are painted yellow and I thought that was very Nifty. I will say that the hotel is of an older model so if you're a bougie individual this may not be your hotel. I still think you should try it because it was still quite nice. The beds were clean and soft the pillows were nice the bedding was nice. If we have this event again, I would definitely choose this hotel over the Holiday Inn. Now I did not eat at the restaurant but it was really cool to hear that as a room key holder I got 10% off of breakfast if I showed the key. That's very interesting I don't know any other hotel that does that. But from someone that is out of town I definitely recommend this hotel again the people were phenomenal and they were able to hold a conversation and it wasn't like a rushed conversation it felt natural. And so I think that adds a little extra to a hotel that's clearly been in the town for a while. And it's super convenient to everything around it I mean the Walmart is not far away nor are other eateries or shopping places. Again I...
Read moreThe waitress was very excellent phenomenal. She brought us drinks menus silverware. The waitress checked on us about every 5 to 10 minutes and was very kind. So the waitress gets five stars. So please if the waitresses are doing their job and working hard for you. Please give me a good tip. After all that she took our order. I guess it was about 10 to 15 minutes later we got our food. One of my friends ordered the half pound t-bone ribeye, mashed potatoes and gravy and a chef salad. My other friend ordered a pile up. Which consisted of biscuits hash browns bacons or sausage, gravy into eggs. I on the other hand ordered a sausage a bacon hash brown omelette with cheese and Texas toast. The t-bone steak was supposed to be medium rare and it was still raw mooing. Plus the steak had a funny taste to it. I don't know if it was the seasoning they were using or the sauce but it tasted horrible. The mashed potatoes were cold and the gravy was burnt and cold. Even the pile up was cold barely even warm. The only thing that was hot was my omelette. By the way this was also late night. I do not know what the service like during day. I will have to do review on that at another time. The waitress was the best thing that we had all night there. The cooks need to get their heads out of their butt and learn to cook with love and take pride in what they do. Plus they need to get their cooking times down. I know I've worked the restaurant business and the fast food industry. So I know how food should be...
Read moreOkay so down 👇 at the end of my comment/experience, I left my original response for the simple fact I hate what I'm bout to do and I genuinely feel for this. Yeah I know I could not do it, but I would want to know and I'm willing to bet you would too. Therefore I won't get into details unless something is asked. Plus, you deserve to know. I can only speak for the rooms I stayed in, (3 rooms, all upstairs) I know for a fact 2 out of 3 HAVE BED BUGS. 3rd one might as well but I wasn't gonna stay any longer to find out but the person who did ended up with bites. They put people in rooms the following day. Nobody came out to look at room or to spray.
💯🌟I've been here and the hotel quite often lately and this will always be my go to place. All the workers are so awesome and welcoming. It's strange cuz I actually walk around hotel without shoes on and the carpet isn't as bad as other hotel carpets however it's not like the Ambassador either but I felt good and comfortable enough to lose the shoes and not even know it. 🦃 My dad and I went to The Diner for Thanksgiving and it was amazing. That was the best Turkey I've had in my whole life, for real. As you can see by the pics, my dad and I are both "simple" eaters so you aren't able to see all the Buffett had. I'll just say it all looked and smelled sooo yummy even the foods I wouldn't eat still had my mouth...
