Normaly i would of given a 4 star but since we were falsely accused of being a family that always goes in there looking for a hand out, not to mention we we profiled when we walked in. Found hair in our appetizer when sent back the tall Hispanic lady accused us of pulling a hair from my baby niece and placing it in the food. Then when it was time to leave and our ticket was given my husband asked why we were still charged for the appetizer that we didn't eat and that's when the "owner" came out with attitude puffing his chest saying is there a problem the "owner" went off saying that we are always looking for free food. My husband tried to explain that he clearly had the wrong family and we haven't been there in months (bank statments to prove cause never pay with cash) but he wasn't having it and told us to never come back and walked off. First off someone needs to teach him how to approach a table when a issue arises and as a "owner" you should have way more professionalism then what you showed lastnight, not to mention he said times as a bisiness were hard well if thats the way you talk to customers i can imagine why things are hard, second your waitstaff should never accuse anyone of putting hair in the food if they are not sure they have the right family that's cause for termination and yes I feel she should, third, you have cameras look at them and see if we did what your waitstaff said we did and if this is an on going issue maybe you should post a pic of the family in the back so your staff and yourself can accuse the right family next time. Yes we paid for all our food even the food...
Read moreTBH, we live near the restaurant. We drive further to other Mexican restaurants. We love gooey, melty cheese enchiladas, that aren't greasy. Homemade tortillas and OMG refried beans are a must for us - it is meh at Las Flores. Rice and tamales are pretty good. Crispy tacos can be tasty, or they arrive cool and greasy. They struggle with consistency. Their best dish was a beef fajita nacho. The last two visits - fajita nachos arrived with tough meat / less smoky flavor. Price increase is understandable. Las Flores isn't always terrible. When they are having an "off day" it is unappetizing. There are times when staffing is an issue. That reflects in slowly bussed tables, etc. Once again, forgivable in a place that has incredible food. I really want them to do well, correct the issues, and...
Read moreWe went to a training in Alvin, and we wanted to find something quick and close to eat. This restaurant was right around the corner from where we were. The staff was friendly amd greeted us as soon as we walked in. You can tell it was an older establishment, it was small, but well kept. The service was fast and efficient. The salsa was a little spicy but tasty (per my coworker). I ordered the chicken fajita tacos and they were good/well seasoned. I had to add a little salt and pepper to the charro beans. My meal was about $14 but they had a lunch menu available as well. Overall it was a good experience, and I would return if I had another training...
