I always "love the taste of hamburgers" from the 1950's'!. I have experienced that at Dairyland. The food is cooked correctly, the lettuce, pickles, tomatoes, etc. all look like actual FRESH VEGETABLES on my burger! That's pretty rare for the most part! Honestly, when is the last time that you've bought a great looking burger đ that actually looked the way it's advertised on the TV? đș I can't even remember when that happened for me. IDK now, how staff is trained or what is being done differently now in 2024? But there's been a major change from 20-30 years ago? Maybe it's as simple as ... the staff actually did care about how they prepared our burgers! Now, when I get my burger, I lift off the top bun and way too often, ... I am served a burger with wilted lettuce, yukky sliced tomatoes that are still green, have old spots, or missing pickles, if I get ONE tiny piece of a pickle at all that is! I've tried to complain or requested another burger, but mostly the re-done burger is still half-ask prepared. All that to say ... I enjoy my Hamburger from Dairyland and it's prepared the way that I ordered it! Give...
Read moreThe atmosphere here is that of a small town burger shop who supports the locals team. It was not busy as we visited on a sunday afternoon, but the outdoor seating on old school picnic tables gives the vibe that this is the hang out spot for the local kids after school. The menu offers evevrything from burgers and dogs to cheesestucks and milk shakes. The food was disappointing considering all the hype I have heard about this place. The burger was was average for this style establishment, bland and greasy. The fries, onion rings and fried mushrooms were crunchy and piping hot, unfortunately the dirty grease flavor was overwhelming so we couldn't finish them. The ranch that came with the mushrooms was so warm it had separated in the souffle cup, so it was inedible as well. The Dr. Pepper seemed to be somewhat flat but we prefer that so for us that wasn't an issue. As for the service, we were helped pretty quick. The gentleman who took our order was friendly...

While the aesthetic initially appealed, aligning with the very charm that's drawing us to build a home in Alvin, the overall experience was a letdown.
I tried the tortilla burger, envisioning something similar to a crunch wrap. What I received was a surprisingly small burger patty encased in a dry, fried tortilla that proved difficult to eat. Simply put, it wasn't very good.
The service, or apparent lack thereof, compounded the disappointment. Based on this one visit, I found both the food and service to be subpar. While I appreciate the ambiance Dairy Land attempts to cultivate, my personal experience was far from...
