Drive through experience at the I35 Bypass & FM 1462 Alvin TX McDonalds on 12-28-2022, approx. 11:15 a.m. Person taking order didn't speak or understand English nor did the one at the window where I paid. Next window, person did not speak or understand English, told (motioned) for me to go park in a reserved space for waiting on orders. She did give me the two large drinks (barely colored water). Man brought out order, two sandwiches instead of three. He doesn't speak or understand English either. I finally gave up and told him I would contact their office and get my money back. He acted like I gave him the sandwiches, all smiles, but didn't understand a word I said. Bottom line, according to my bank, McDonalds charged my card $12.51 for this transaction and all I received was two highly watered-down soda's. I do not recommend this border-town place. Zero Stars.
FOLLOW UP: A woman stating she was the manager for that store called me that same day that I passed-on a complaint to their corporate office. She stated that this location was being sold and that they were in transition and apologized profusely. She promised to refund my credit card for the amount charged within the next few days. Well, when I got my credit card statement I saw she did not keep her word! I was ripped off! I still do not recommend the Alvin TX McDonald's and now give it a NEGATIVE 5 STARS! And just a note to any people who may want to lie about the transaction: I recorded the phone call with the woman that stated she was the manager of that McDonald's, and I was wearing a body cam during the whole transaction (I do this to protect myself against the Alvin PD that apparently loves to give out unfounded traffic tickets because your front bumper may not have been totally behind the white line at an intersection - coffee money; to be fair one of my sons works for another PD and that officer was not fit for service...
Read moreQuality of food and service are usually pretty good but this store has ALWAYS had a problem with condiment distributions and filling the boxes and small fry bags properly. I’m not asking they over fill the containers, just properly fill the them. I, myself don’t need the extra fries but a family with kids does. I kid you not the boxes of fries are usually half full and that a rip off. This practice has been going on for many years. I know that that’s where Mcdonalds make the most money and hitting the fry yields is important but this is ridiculous. It’s happen every time for years and years. Tonight we had to go through the drive thru a second time because they didn’t give us the ranch dressing for our 20 piece McNuggets as requested at the speaker. They do it more times than not. Then we have the napkins issue. We have to look in the bags to make sure napkins are put in there. It seems like every time we forget to look, they forget to place them in the bag. It’s really frustrating but I guess we get what we pay for. I just don’t like the fact that the managers train these kids to cheat the consumer so they can make more money. If that box of fries is suppose to have 4.3 ounces and I paid $2.00 for it, don’t put 4.4 nor 4.2 just give me what I paid for. This store is over all pretty good, they just have these issues that have irritated...
Read moreMy husband works in Alvin. He has always mentioned how good that Mc Donald's is. Well, last Saturday , September 30th we went to Alvin and decided to stop at this particular McDonald's.We went the way of the drive thru. First, I have to say the nice young man (Hispanic decent) that was taking our payment was so friendly and was chatting with our Blue Pit Bull puppy✔️, then the young young blonde guy that gave us our drinks and food was just as nice, if not even more nice!!!! We felt very welcomed and never to felt like just anyone. They gave us the royal treatment. It was by far the best Mickey D's experience ever. ✔️✔️, Finally we got in the car and headed to the beach. We began eating our food in the car and it WAS THE VERY BEST MCDONALD'S I HAVE EVER CONSUMED. ✔️✔️✔️. Someone has got to take not of location and have them strart training other MCDONALD'S employees throughout the greater Houston area. It superceded my expectations and then some. If you are in the Alvin area, do yourself a favor and go to this...
