Sumthin Real BBQ — Restaurant in Alvin

A group of us visited this place Saturday afternoon when in the area. We drove up to what looked like a large lemonade stand but paid no mind being small business supporters. We were confused with lack of parking spaces in the front. Saw signs for customer parking that had arrows pointing in both directions (left/right) and noticed all vehicles were parked in the back. We parked back there and was told they can help us in front. As we drove back around to the front, a truck sped towards us honking like a mad man. When we parked and attempted to get out, he was already outside his truck hollering and cussing. Apparently he’s the owner or something. Tried to explain why we parked in the back initially but was hard to get words through to him as he kept yelling and then kicked us out. Ordered a chopped beef sandwich. They gave me what looked like chopped beef, but it tasted like pulled or shredded beef. I've never had that before. In my recent experiences with various BBQ places, the chopped beef would either be large clumps of beef or chopped small and buried in sauce. I almost passed up on the opportunity to try this place out. I'm very glad I didn't and gave it a try cause, man... This one just hit very differently. I didn't expect it to be so perfect.

Passing by on the way home. Saw BBQ (have been wanting bbq). Pulled up saw they have Nachos (have been wanting nachos too). Got the brisket nachos and it was delicious. I had the option to get shredded or nacho cheese. I opted in for the shredded, so my chips wouldn’t get too soggy. So once I got home I tossed them in the oven (melted the cheese and crisped my chips back up). Tried a few before I put them in the oven though. Delicious! The brisket is definitely slow cooked. So tender and flavorful. I like this combo. Whenever I see them again, I’l definitely patronize again. Keep up the good work yall. I know all about that food...
