Da Vinci Salon — Local services in Alvin

Yesterday I went to the DaVinci salon on S. Gordon St. I had never been there but needed roots and highlights done ASAP. The appointment at another place I thought I had didn't work out and a friend recommended DaVinci Salon. My appointment was with Tammy. For me this was a real leap of faith but it worked out GREAT! Tammy was lovely, fun and a real professional. My color is beautiful and I'm delighted. The salon is clean and bright. While I was there I observed other very clearly happy clientele. I recommend DaVinci and Tammy for sure. We spend our winters in Alvin and I needed someone to do my hair while I'm here. So glad I took the chance and I will definitely be a regular there from now on....

Went in for a hair color service with tomie joe , asked for a ginger haircolor and left with a bright patchy red. I had hot roots and it was uneven all throughout. My hair was bleached and only ONE huge foil was wrapped around my ends and fell off onto floor. Bleach was not saturated , my hair was lifted unevenly and Instead of filling the hair to an even base, RED permanent dye was applied right on top. Inside the hair some parts weren’t dyed at all. Not to mention my scalp was scrubbed with nails as shampooed when lightener was in my hair which caused abrasions. No strand test was given , and when stating my hair was the wrong color I got “it still looks pretty!” Luckily I could fix it...

My hair is ALWAYS hard for people to cut .....and style especially.....for some reason. I think it’s because it’s thin and fine. I was raised in Alvin but live in Colorado. I randomly called this place to get a hair cut while I was home visiting and Mary gave me the BEST haircut I have ever had. She styled it as well and I loved it but thought I wouldn’t be able to make it look like that again. Whatever she did when she cut it, it hangs differently and looks “styled” just when I blow dry it :)) I am only getting my hair cut with her when I come home to Alvin from now on!
