Aldaco's Tacos — Restaurant in Amarillo

This is an add-on to my first review. Which apparently wasn't a review, just stars.. .

This place is the bomb! We started eating here when it was at a different location. And then we moved away for some years. And when we came back, the food was just as good. It was maybe even better than I remembered. We went back the other day and it was just as good. We only go maybe once or twice a year but I literally said to my husband... "Maybe we should make this a monthly thing" after our last visit.

The parking lot is very small ... Well relatively small. I don't think they are open after 6:00 p.m. or maybe 6:40 p.m. for anything except take out. But the quality of the food and the taste of the food and just everything about the food... This is really good. If you are ever in Amarillo it is some place where you have to stop. If you don't stop, you're always going to wonder if I'm exaggerating...

Enchiladas and tacos were tasty! Didn’t care for the Chile relleno, only because I don’t care for egg battered rellenos. The salsa was spicey, but we ordered a bowl of con-queso and poured the salsa in it and it was very yummy! They do have outside seating, with umbrellas. The woman who waited on us was extremely sweet and friendly. They do not really have set hours but they will stay opened late as long as they’re busy! Which is very cool and honorable in this world where customer service doesn’t exist. I do...

Come see Miss Dora and let her feed you. Don't let the slightly shabby look dissuade you. Dora is friendly, kind, and an amazing cook!! The portions were generous, and the sauce for the Taco de Barbacoa was spicy & flavorful. Seriously, we are traveling, and still, I took my leftover sauce to put on my eggs tomorrow at breakfast. It was warm in there, and when another table was finished, Dora asked us if we wanted to change tables because the now open table was closer to the a/c.
