Applebee's Grill + Bar — Restaurant in Amarillo

UPDATE: I was never helped with a follow up. Guess their customers aren’t very important to them.

I’d give this place 0 stars if I could. Honestly I don’t go to Applebees because everytime I go something happens. But I hadn’t been in a while and I figured I’d give them one more try. The first time I went..there was a hair in my food as soon as it got to the table. Second time I went ..the server was great..everything was good but we were charged all wrong and everything was mixed up. And the third time(which was today) my kids and I, along with a friend of mine went in at 11pm. One hour before close. Now I know it’s only one hour before close but it’s ONE HOUR BEFORE CLOSE. We get seated and the waitress gets our drinks and we don’t receive any menus and she also tells us the bar is closed and we can’t order drinks. She then tells us she will give us a minute to look over the menus. She waits almost 30 minutes to take our order. She then asks us if we are ready to order and when we say yes she tells us to ok hold on and that she would be right back. She continues to walk past us multiple times and check on the other table and get them what they need. She comes back to take our order and tells me she can’t make my meal how I want it and I tell her I got it like that the past couple times and just asked her if she could ask. She then finds out that they can make it how I like. Takes almost 30 minutes to bring the food out. Mind you it was only our table and one other table of 3 there. So then she brings all the food out and doesn’t bring my kids fries. Tells me they are just now dropping them. 5 minutes later brings the fries. By this time it’s like 12:05 and the server comes to us and basically kicks us out. Not only was the service bad and they kicked us out 5 minutes into eating. But the bartender/manager that was working was making things worse. The server also yawned super loud to try and be obvious she was ready to go home. While we were leaving the server yelled out that my tip was poor and even used a few cuss words. So I turned around and asked what she had said and she said she wasn’t talking to me. I proceed to walk out the door again and she talked more negativeness while I walked away again I honestly got ugly and told her I’d be outside if she had a problem with my tip. Considering the service was terrible and they kicked us out she’s lucky she even got a tip. . That being said i will be calling and speaking with the manager in the morning to let them know what happened and see if they can do something about it. Because that is very unacceptable. Adonis was the waitress and was so extremely rude. She got upset when asked for a bowl again when asked already. Then acted like it was a problem to get us 2 boxes to go. My mom said thank you and she walked of and said "yeah" with her back to us. Then when trying to check out she wasn't around so i asked the bartender and he had to have her for her card and she wanted to get an attitude and say well are you ready now? I said yes we have been ready but you weren't around. She yell at me, "I was just there". I explained she was helping another table and walked off before I could ask. I told her she didn't have to be so rude she has been the whole time. She said I know for a fact 100% I was not rude but whatever. I told her look just check me out and we can leave. She runs my card and doesn't give me a receipt ( and I didn't think about at the time) and says and "I don't need your $2!" I said you know what I wasn't leaving you a tip anyways. Then I asked to speak to the manager. Upon speaking to her she even acknowledged that the waitress is known to have attitude and even another customer said she has been like that as long as she has worked there. Oh and when the other table came in at 1140 she asked are you guys getting a to go order and they said no dine in. She got very irritated and walked off which was right beside us and said well now I'm gonna be later getting out of here having to deal with this. I called to speak to the head manger who was supposed to be there the next day according to the night manager and it was the night manager yet again saying or she isn't here yet I forgot I was coming back in but I promise it has been addressed. I'm not sure how to "star" rate this place. I give 5+ stars to Tamara, who was not originally our server but who took care of us when our server didn't. If you lose her, it would be a great shame. We were originally served by Miranda, who took our order just fine and brought our food. When my husband cut into his medium rare ordered steak, it was well done. He has no teeth so it was not edible for him. Miranda was nowhere to be found, we waited and waited and when we did see her, she didn't even look at our table so we could flag her down. Never came over to see if everything is ok, crickets. We caught Tamara while she was serving another table and she was quick to jump in and help. With a smile and some jokes, I might add. She took the steak back to the kitchen to have them redo it, and a bit after that Miranda finally came to the table to ask if everything was ok, not even noticing that my husband had no food in front of him, and I was almost done with my meal. We explained to her what happened, at which point she said she would go check on it. Nope. She went to the order kiosk, then to the bar to get drinks for another table, then to that table and back to the bar. Tamara checked on the meal and brought it to us. Eventually Miranda came back to the table and when we asked why she hadn't checked on it, she had all kinds of excuses, including that it wasn't ready yet, but how would she even know that because she didn't even check! I guess she walked away mad that we confronted her. Tamara came back to the table to say that we were now her customer, and we were so glad. She is outstanding, don't lose her!! My food was good, my husband's was so-so when he finally got it and he barely...
