On Sunday, December 15th, we visited Jimmy’s Egg in Amarillo, Texas, for breakfast and had a fantastic experience. Despite the line being out the door, we were seated very quickly at the bar, which allowed us to skip the wait. It was a nice surprise and already set the tone for a positive visit.
I ordered the Cowboy Skillet, and my wife got a standard breakfast plate with special chocolate pancakes. The food came out incredibly fast, even with the restaurant being so busy, and everything was fresh, hot, and delicious. The Cowboy Skillet was hearty and packed with flavor, while the chocolate pancakes were a hit for my wife—they were perfectly cooked and indulgent.
What really made our experience stand out, though, was our server, Destiny. She was attentive, friendly, and made sure everything was perfect for us. From checking in frequently to keeping our drinks refilled, Destiny's service was impeccable. Her upbeat attitude and efficiency added a personal touch to the meal and truly made our time there memorable. It’s rare to have such great service, especially during a busy Sunday rush, but Destiny handled everything with ease and professionalism.
Overall, Jimmy’s Egg exceeded our expectations. The combination of quick seating, delicious food, and exceptional service made this visit one to remember. We will definitely be coming back next time we’re in town, and we’ll be hoping to see Destiny again! She’s a gem and a great representative of the restaurant. Highly recommend this location for...
Read moreI love Jimmy's Egg... on Georgia. Not sure what the Soncy location is doing, but the most professional and on point people there that were the hardest workers were the bussers and a young gentleman getting things done - in and out of the back, on a mission. The floors were filthy with smashed food and trash, the men's bathroom was disgusting and unkempt, soap dispenser wide open, grime everywhere. The host was nowhere to be seen when we walked in, was just talking with the servers in the back and not even paying attention or caring if people came in. The server I had was a decent girl, but brought the check before we were even halfway through our meal, and never even asked if I'd like a coffee refill. These are basic things, and as a former restaurant owner myself, I'm surprised this location is even making it. Definitely gives the Jimmy's Egg name a bad rep. The food isn't even consistent. Josh and his team on Georgia are operating at 110%, if you want Jimmy's Egg go there. This location needs to be rescued badly. I will...
Read moreMore like a 3.5s ⭐'s. Service slow, unattentive, and couldn't bring anything back in a timely manner . Literally had to ask for everything and waited on everything. Waited on server to start, ordered drinks ,wait wait wait. She brought our water no mimosa still or yet. Than brought drinks, said I'll be right back.7-10 mins later she takes our order. Food was good, it was cold once the server brought us silverware to eat with which we had to ask for. When placing our order I asked for extra butter. Didn't get when the warm food was brought or when the silverware finally arrived after the food went cold.Did I mention the mimosa still not there I'm glad it wasn't morning because I def would have needed more than a cold cup of coffee refill. Very small resturant space and the what is the worst parking lot I've ever pulled into for a place with that much high traffic.... Can't say I'll rush back, especially if it's a high rate time of day. Disappointed in the...
