This was probably one of the worst experiences I have had at a restaurant, and it really takes a lot to make an experience a bad one, for me. I can understand that a place gets slammed and that things take time, that is not really my issue. My food was not great, but we had been there so long that the salty chimichanga didn't really bother me too much. My issue tonight was that the last portion of our party did not receive their food within the first 20 minutes after the rest of our group. Our waitress did not come back to our table often, so we went to find someone to see if they would check on it. That person never showed up, and then the table of 15 people that showed up after we ordered our food all got their food. Again, we went to find someone and then the food finally came out. All three of those items were room temperature, and one of the people in our party ordered only a soup. The final straw of the evening was that the person that got soup was given nothing but a plastic knife with their meal, all while everyone else had metal spoons. When a second person came to the table, we asked if she could have a spoon, she told us that there were not any, and we asked her why they sent a knife to eat soup with. She didn't say anything, and we asked if we could have one (we understand that dishes have to be cleaned, but a knife is not a good substitute for a spoon). Well, she, rudely, said, "sure, I'll go get that." A few minutes later, still no spoon in sight. Finally a third person came out and asked if we needed anything, and again we said that we needed a spoon instead of the knife they sent for the soup. She said gave use excuse after excuse, and we told her that the delay was not really the issue, it was that a knife was sent out to eat soup with. Finally a spoon came out, and then so did person number four, who started off with "you made two of my girls cry", and again we said that all we needed was a spoon. He started getting really defensive and argumentative, and finally said in the most smart-aleck, condescending tone ever, "don't you worry, I'll take of your bill." Literally nobody wanted comped food, all we wanted was a spoon. Our server didn't come back to the table for the longest time, and we were there for over two and a half hours. Finally, she came back with tickets, but didn't ask how they were going to be split, and they were all wrong. We told her who had what, and she was writing things down, and after ten more minutes came back with incorrect tickets again. After another five or ten minutes, she came back with the correct tickets, and we handed her our card. It was another ten minutes before she came back will most of our cards, but not ours specifically. She said that the guy at the front has it, and we said that we handed it to her. Turns out she handed it to a guy at the front counter that thankfully was in our party, and they were already done and signed out. That was unacceptable; you cannot hand someone else's card to a different person, especially when they were on the opposite side of the restaurant than where we were waiting for half...
Read moreMy family went to Teddy Jacks on Sunday April 13th 2025 to celebrate the birth of our grandson. It was lunchtime. When our food was brought to the table, the waitress did not balance the tray on the stand properly, and 2 plates of food ended up on the floor. When the replacement food was brought to the table, it was overcooked terribly, and missing components of one of the dishes. The hot honey chicken was very dry and was inedible. The fries were limp and greasy on two of the dishes that we ordered. We talked to the manager about the food and he looked at it and agreed that it was below standards, and said he would talk to the cook. He removed the 2 dishes that were re-made from the ticket. Later in the day, My son in law got violently ill from the food he ate. That food was the only thing he had eaten that day. I called the restaurant and spoke to a different manager. I told him that the food my son in law ate made him very sick. All the manager wanted to do was tell me he would leave "be our guest" cards at the front and he hoped we would give them a second chance. I told him that was not the reason I was calling. I was calling because they needed to tell the cook to check the ingredients used to make the dish and make sure that they had not gone bad because someone else could get sick. He took my number, and said that he would call me back after he talked to the cook, but he never called. Not even to check on how my son in law was doing. We used to love eating there. We will not be going back to Teddy...
Read moreExcellent food!! There's a really good variety of food they serve. Something for everyone's tastes. I have 3 go-to things I get here. First are the Cheese Sticks with Ranch. They aren't the kind you get from a bag at the grocery store! I could eat those for my meal alone! Delicious! Second is the Teddy Jack Cheeseburger...with bacon and fries. Mmm! And third is the True Bleu...aka a Chicken Cordon Bleu. My mouth is watering even now!! The only thing with the True Bleu is that many times it's overcooked on the outside. It's hard to eat it when it's overcooked. Much too crispy and sometimes even burnt...so the taste is off when it's deep fried too long. Hubby likes their pizzas. They're made in a pizza brick oven. I've never had to wait too long for a table. There's lots of seating and an outdoor patio as well. Totally love the music they play! It's never played too loud. Most of the servers are attentive. Everywhere you go to eat, there's always a few servers that aren't quite as good as the majority of them. Teddy Jack's is no different. Prices seem fairly reasonable for the amount of food they serve with each meal. The parking is a problem most of the time though. We are usually having to park in the back parking lot behind the building. It's quite a walk...especially if it's windy and cold! However there's plenty of handicap spaces. Which of course is a good thing. I do recommend stopping by for a meal. Good luck on trying to decide what you should order! There's so many...
