B-Bop's — Restaurant in Ames

Best Burger in town! The food is always consistent. However, the dining room is filthy! Every table is dirty, sticky, and cluttered with debris! Tonight I sat and watched as a child coughed all over a table, debris like lettuce, straw wrappers, et were littered on more than half the tables! There were only about four tables seated including mine. In desperation, I approached the counter (this was after my husband had asked for something to wipe down our table and was given dry napkins!) Sitting on the counter was a clean bucket with clean rags and what appeared to be disinfectant!? A young man stood there with no customers in sight. I don't know what "special occasion " they were saving that clean bucket of disinfectant for? The dining room was visibly filthy! I grabbed a rag, wrung it out, and started wiping down tables like any sane person would in such a filthy environment. What appeared to be a manager offered no apology, no assistance, and no explanation as to why they hadn't bothered to wipe down a nearly empty restaurant! I love B-bops food but bring your Windex or other cleaner and your paper towels, you're going...

We stopped here some 6 months ago. Every table was dirty, so we took the food to our car. We stopped back two days ago. Every table was dirty. They had at least 8 people working behind the counter and they were all socializing with each other, doing absolutely no work. We asked to have a table wiped off. The person behind the counter wiped off one booth and left everything else dirty. I ordered a double and got a single. The same person re-made the sandwich. There were no drink lids, they were out, but there were lids strewn across the counter. We asked the same person for drink lids and he gave us two lids. Someone else ordered and asked for drink lids, and the same person then restocked the lids. So - dirty place two visits in a row, made the food wrong, not stocked, and a group of people standing in a circle behind the counter with their backs turned while one person tried to do all of the work. Where is the management for this place? Not sure we will ever visit this...

Should be a no star 4/6 ( 4:29pm ) date of service and didn’t hear from anyone until 4/20 after I called corporate. Because Graham and the others listed in next sentence didn’t pass on my complaint on the 6th of April as I asked him too. Eli, Levi, Graham, John and now Nathan ( aka area manage so called ) They’d all would miss up a wet dream. Them as employees to me reflect on the owner. I’m going to say he not worth it either. Because of the above names employees. Never see my business again! 25 -30 other places to get a hamburger in Ames. And get better service from top to bottom. Just say Nathan was told how I felt of him laughing at me before I hung up. I called corporate again and told them about Nathan. I’m not scared to let the top know how his co called employees n area manager...
