We swung by on a Thursday night, around 9 pm, and surprisingly scored a table for six without any hassle. Despite the crowd, it had that laid-back atmosphere we all dig.

And let me tell you about the drinks. We kicked back with some seriously good Old Fashioneds with the family, soaking in that authentic London pub feel.

We were hyped for the Absinthe night coming up, especially since it coincided with my wife's birthday bash. But, unfortunately, plans fell through. That's life, I guess.

I was looking forward to my first visit to London Underground. At first blush I thought as the advertisement said it was a friendly atmosphere. My bartender was friendly and poured me my favorite libation. But that warmth quickly evaporated. Apparently she found her usual group of friends much more appealing than the paying customer, me. I wasn’t looking for a long term relationship. Far from it. But having worked with the public for around 40 years I know how to keep the customer happy and to keep them coming back. A lesson I believe she didn’t believe in or even cared anything about. She was there for a check and nothing else. Too bad for the management.
