Mother's Pub and Coffee — Restaurant in Ames

The new girls have been so unnecessarily rude! The girls working last night closed the bar at 1 although it was busy (Mother’s doesn’t get very busy so duh why wouldn’t you make your money??). My sister had brought Thai food up from Des Moines to eat with some drinks at Mother’s, but we only got to sit down and eat for about 15 minutes before the lights were up and Closing Time was on (12:40am) 😒 There was a bunch of friends helping them put up chairs, so I can only assume they were closing early so they could go out before the bars on...

They have a drink called “Mother’s Milk” and if you have seen Mad Max: Fury Road (or if you’re just an adult with a juvenile mind) that sounds super gross. But I tried it, and it’s good. I guess they have a booze version and a non boozey version. Neat. Clean place. Chairs are good for sitting. Seems up to code. No carpet. That feels like a good choice. Well lit in the evening....
