Pros: The aesthetics are top notch, from the interior of the shop to the drinkware. There are some great flavors, I personally recommend the Uji Matcha Crème Brûlée Tea and Strawberry Tea, and the regular Crème Brûlée. The Yakult teas are nice too.
Cons: I have had my order messed up at least a dozen times because of the language barrier. I’ve tried really hard to prevent it from happening but it’s impossible. Many of the employees are kind but some of them come across as hasty and it’s frustrating when you try to communicate clearly and they don’t want to listen. I am sympathetic to language barriers because english is not my first language either but the issue is that some of them don’t even try to take a moment to double check, even if you ask. That being said, it’s usually not a big deal like the temperature being opposite or the toppings being wrong or the size, but sometimes the flavor they give you is completely different. The jasmine green milk tea’s flavor at 50% sugar level was nicely made and tasted refreshing and smooth. The presentation of the bubble tea was also nice. I like having the option of ordering at a kiosk instead of in-person. Also, this place is one of the few places that I know of that I can grab a drink and sit down and study. I think this will be a good place for students to hang...
Read moreThe boba here is decent, but the prices are a bit steep, ranging from $7-9 per drink. While this is typical for boba nowadays, I feel the quality doesn’t justify the cost. The Dragonfruit boba at $10, in particular, seemed overpriced for what it offered.
Service is okay; the staff are busy, which can lead to longer wait times. The atmosphere is pleasant, making it a good spot for studying or hanging out.
The mobile kiosks are awkwardly positioned, which can be problematic if there’s a large line, though they do streamline the ordering process.
Overall, it's a decent place for boba...
