Wings Over Amherst — Restaurant in Amherst

Over cooked. Chicken jerky with bones and grisly parts NOT REMOVED from what should have been chicken tenders boneless order. People are paying for food that when order as boneless, should be free of bones and gristle if they are not getting bone in wings. It was also a safety issue when biting into and could have swallowed these bone fragments I was pulling out of my mouth every 5th or 6th bite last night! Crushed up included bone fragments that could easily be mistaken for over cooked chicken jerk. Over half of my order the chicken was over cooked dry and better as a dog jerky than human food. Where is or was quality control last night? A 7 year old who got my order could have had major issues and choking hazards with what I...

Really hate to do this as I have been a huge fan and supporter of Wings Over Amherst (from old location to new) for over 20 years. In recent times, every single time I've gone, the chicken is either cold or dried out (heat lamp?). And they barely come with any sauce and if you ask for extra, it's either ignored or they charge you.

They've also become really cheap with celery and carrots. The DC-3 will come with 1-2 pieces of celery or carrots and when you ask for more carrots, they charge you extra (but they don't tell you it's an additional charge).

I'll give it a few more tries to see if they improve, but other than that, it may be the end...

Best boneless wings I've ever had, consistently, between their location change and 10 years and many other attempts to find boneless wings as good as these. Wings Over is a fairly close second, but, just not as incredible for some unquantifiable reason. Their giant pile of nachos is great for sharing with a crowd or two REALLY hungry dudes. If you come on the weekend it's sure to be PACKED but it's well worth a visit if you like wings. I don't think this is a great place to go if people in your party are the kind of people into strictly determining who is responsible for what item on the bill. Just order a bunch of food and great...
