Dockside Dogs Gourmet Hot Dogs — Restaurant in Anacortes

My wife and I went for a drive up to Deception Pass. We wanted to find something different and local to eat. Well Dockside Dogs came up on our search and we headed right for it. The place was quaint and had enough seating for several groups. The menu is just the right size to satisfy most anyone. My wife had the Thai Dog and it had Thai peanut sauce, bacon, and caramelized onions. Wouldn't have been my first choice but my wife loves peanut butter and she loves Thai food. I tasted it and it was amazing. It was a perfect blend of taste. I went for the Bandito Frito Dog. I was originally going for the chili dog but I prefer jalapeños on my chili dog. It was as you would expect. The dog had chili, fritos, jalapeños, and sour cream. I couldn't ask for more. I don't think my experience at a hot dog stand could have been any better ! The owner Michael was a supe nice guy ! I got there just before the lunch rush and Michael took his time to talk about all the options and what were the crowd favorites. You can get a plain dog with your choice of regular condiments but I chose to go with the Thai peanut dog and have absolutely no regrets! First of the dog is not just some cheap ballpark its a qaulity dog and the topping were so good too. I don't remember all the ingredients but I can tell you they blended well ! I can't wait to go back and try the Frito bandito which was my second choice. If you're ever in Anacortes I highly recommend you try this place out you won't regret it. If you’re anywhere near here, you have to stop by this hot dog stand! The atmosphere is perfect—outdoor seating, good vibes, and a great place to relax while enjoying some seriously tasty food. Brandon is an absolute legend when it comes to customer service—friendly, attentive, and always making sure you leave happy (and full).

Pro tip: if you get the chance, ask for “Brandon’s secret dog,” also known as The Mastiff. It’s not on the regular menu, but it’s hands-down one of the best hot dogs I’ve ever had. Loaded with flavor, and topped with just the right amount of kick—it’s a game changer.
