I have posted before on Yelp, but this is absolutely the last time I go to this West Marine. So many reasons including they only have have of what you need so you have to go someplace else, but the visit on Saturday, May 1st takes the cake.
Headed to West Marine Anacortes at 5:30 pm, after looking to see they closed at 6. I arrived at 5:44 pm and the door was locked, Two people came to the locked door and let a customer out with his bag (not posting one the peoples names). She said we could not enter because there was a DATA problem.......keep in mind it was sunny out on a Saturday night and someone else just purchased stuff. The employee was condescending. I asked for the managers name and she replied with "i am one of them"...She then said "Toodaloo" and closed the door in front of us.
I honestly don't understand how this place remains in business. Do yourself a favor and shop...
Read moreWife and I spent a Sunday driving an hour and a half one way to buy a Scotty down rigger. Arrived at store and found the downrigger we wanted laying in the middle of the isle. Checked the price on the tag nearest to it $599. We were certain we had what we came after. Catherine rang it at the till for $799. Baffled we asked why the higher price. Was told that downrigger was in the wrong place and then asked for the $599 downrigger that the web site said one available. Didn't have one in stock. Wasn't asked if we would like one ordered and delivered. Didn't get any further help from the staff other then paying for the other things I purchased. In hind site I should have put everything back and walked out. Wife and I will be sure and take West Marine out of our boating...
Read moreI have had less that professional service at this location! I returned a 32.00 item paid with my husbands debit card. The next day with the receipt tried to return it. they did the return put it back on my debit card and I asked the cashier is it going to matter that it was put on my husband‘s card same account different cards she says no it shouldn’t matter at all.Well the refund never made it into my account. I talked to The stores manager, and she said I would have to go online and to resolve the issue as there is no human being even to talk to. It’s all done via text message. The text said that they would start a ticket on it and I should receive an email in regards to this matter and it’s been a week and I still have not heard anything all over a $32 refund...
