For the longest that I remember me and my family have always gone to Denny’s to eat on Sunday mornings right after mass. We used to go to one closest to our house but that one got closed down, so we started going to a Denny’s close to our church. Denny’s has great food overall and that’s why we go every Sunday morning and Denny’s is always our first option. Ever since I went to Denny’s it has always been busy and the waits are long, but is it really worth the wait? Yes it is! Denny’s has some strengths in the company in general and at this particular place. The main strengths of the service are the food is good, it’s affordable, and the restaurants have been remodeled over the years. Starting with the food, overall it’s delicious and it doesn't make me or my family sick. My favorite food to order is the moons over my hammy or the sampler. The next strength is that the food is affordable for any social class, in my opinion. A beverage will cost you somewhere around $3 and a food plate will cost you between $2 to $15, so the prices are decent for the quality of the food. What I like about Denny’s is the new look they have added to it. In all of the Denny’s restaurants they have this feeling you get like if you were in a house, or cabin. Due to the positive aspects but at this specific place. The main weaknesses of the service are, rude waiters, and furniture needs to be replaced. The last few times that I've gone to this place, I have gotten nothing but really rude waiters. For example, we ordered another cup of coffee and lemonade and the lady just turned away before we told her about the lemonade and to finish it off she took so long to bring the coffee that we had finished our food. The next week after that we got seated in a table far in the corner and that day it was raining. The problem was that there was a roof leak right behind us and since the table was in the corner our waiter would take forever to come to us, I think she was the only one assigned to that spot so everyone was telling her to get more of this or that and she rarely came our way. After I saw the roof leak I was concerned if the food I was eating was clean, dirty, or expired. Maybe they should hire better waiters, because most of them look like they don’t like their job. I’m just disappointed to see this happening when their potential of success could be better, maybe starting with improving their customer service. Due to these negative aspects me and my family have moved on and we have gone to different restaurants like Cheesecake Factory and IHOP and the service at Cheesecake Factory is outstanding. My general opinion of the service is that for now its not the best and I don’t want to go back to that place or any Denny’s because there are other restaurants out there that beat their service. At the moment I do not recommend to go to Denny’s at least not this location based on the bad service I've gotten and also there are other options to choose from. So the bottom line or the final grade I give this place is a D, a thumbs down, I’m just disappointed on the service and I haven’t had any...
Read moreFirst of all, this location is not my usual location to go have breakfast but since I was in the area I decided to take my kids for breakfast. Now I remembered why I don't come to this location... lets start shall we.
Service Pt 1: When walking in there is no host. We waited until a server by the kitchen bar acknowledged us, lets another server know so then that server leaves and walaaah! the host shows up and greets us to then take us to our table. Once our server comes to greet us and takes our order for drinks, friendly still to this point.
Food: My daughter orders herself a build your own grand slam, my son ordered a bacon and cheese omelette. I ordered the chocolate chip pancakes with bananas. Everything good until we get our order and sons omelette had any bacon and the cheese was just sprinkled inside not even melted. Something my kid could have done easily at home. And yes I am sorry I did call the server I asked if I could have my son's omelette re done even if I needed to pay for another in order for them to make it correctly or properly. Now let's go to service again...
Service Pt 2: She did not give any type of apology for the inconvenience her response and I will quote was " the cooks are in a rush and want to take out the orders fast" which to me was the like the cherry on top to the overall service. I kindly asked her to please let the cook know I needed a properly made bacon and cheese omelette with more than just a strip of bacon inside and that I was okay with waiting as long as it was made right for my son. She gave an annoyed look which almost made me get up and leave but it was about my kids having breakfast at the end of the day.
Son's omelette 2nd try... when she came back with his omelette, it was nicely made with enough bacon, the cheese was fully melted and son as well as I were happy with the final omelette. On the other hand my pancakes were perfect and my daughter had no complaints on her food. For dessert we did get and oreo shakes, those are...
Read moreWent to Denny's and used one of the Denny's gift cards I got from friends for Christmas.
I can still remember when Denny's was affordable. If it wasn't for the gift card from my friends no way would I have eaten there. $4.29 for a salad IF you get an entree!
I opted for the build your own burger. I chose: beef patty, swiss cheese, mayo, Bourbon sauce, carmelized onions. It already came with pickles, tomato and lettuce. Fries also came with the meal.
I also got a side salad with Blue Cheese.
I was hungry and the food was good, no doubt about it.
But yeah, wouldn't have had the pleasure of such a meal without the gift card.
(Thank you my friends!)
The service was great. It wasn't crowded and I got to pick my own table immediately. This was my fortune, but depending on when you go, your experience might differ.
The server was courteous and professional. My food was brought out quickly. (again, your experience may differ depending on circumstances)
Also, as a DJ for over 25 years, I really appreciated the 1990's/2000's music mix playing in the background. I heard early hits by Michael Buble, Taylor Swift, Bare Naked Ladies and many more. Steve Winwood also was showcased.
All in all, I enjoyed my meal tremendously.
But honestly, right now, if it wasn't for that gift card, I could not afford...
