I went to Kaiba, which is a spacious restaurant with easy parking. The location is convenient, and the prices are reasonable, making it a nice place to have a meal with a decent menu selection. Their sushi burrito is tasty and comes in a very good portion size. It's worth trying if you want something a bit bigger than regular sushi rolls. However, I have to say that their salmon sashimi at Kaiba was very disappointing. The slices were too thin and didn't taste like top-quality nor even standard version of salmon. The texture was also sticky, which wasn't enjoyable. Another issue was that their rolls at Kaiba tasted very similar due to too much sauce. So, when we ordered different types of rolls, they all ended up tasting alike, which was a letdown. On the positive side, the service at Kaiba was great. The staff was friendly and efficient, making the dining experience enjoyable. If you're local and looking for a place with decent prices, a variety of options, and good service, Kaiba could work for you. It's also a good spot for large groups or taking kids after sports activities. However, if you're a sushi lover or just passing through Anaheim, I'd suggest considering other options with better sushi quality. Overall, my experience at Kaiba was alright, and I might return for a casual lunch or hanging out with friends. But if you're a sushi fan, you might want to try elsewhere. Note: Tastes vary, so it's best to try it for yourself at Kaiba to see how you like it. Happy eating!

My friends and I loved our experience at Kaiba! The staff was so attentive and we had excellent service. Here are some of the great highlights about this place and our experience. For appetizers, we first noticed that the gyoza was probably prepared fresh because it had that natural sear and fried look. It was not overly greasy and did not look like it was thawed and fried from something prepackaged. It was super tasty and a great appetizer. My friends also loved the spicy tuna on crispy rice and rated that it was slightly better than a different restaurant. In addition, our ramen was taken out quick and my Tonkostu Ramen tasted amazing. It was a bigger portion than I expected. I couldn’t finish my special roll after. Finally, we loved the value of everything we ordered. We spent $116 for a party of 4 with 3 appetizers, tempura vegetables, 3 ramen, 4 sushi rolls, beef plate, and 2 rounds of drinks. $8.99 for a pitcher of beer and $1.99 sake enough for 3 is such great pricing. After having such a great experience, I’d definitely return and would not be intimidated by ordering from the drive thru. I was definitely skeptical about having drive thru sushi, but this place prepares everything quick and fresh that makes it worthwhile!

Based on all the reviews I was excited to try this place out. Interesting menu choices from sushi, ramen, udon, salads, and burgers. We got the ramen, fried chicken, the free gyoza (via yelp checkin), and a caterpillar roll. The best thing was the roll. The ramen was ok, but seemed to be lacking something. The broth felt overly fatty. Fried chicken was also ok. And the gyoza was ugh. Right in the middle of our meal all the lights turned off. I thought we had a blackout for a moment when all of a sudden one of the waiters starts shaking a tambourine. Then party lights started flashing and the wait staff sang happy birthday to one of the customers. Once it was over all the lights came back on. Never seen such a show at any ramen place before. The building looks like it was an old Taco Bell. Complete with drive-through. The parking is ok but you have to watch out for the drive-through cars. No wifi is offered here. From the outside the place seems a bit shady. The staff was friendly, helpful, and attentive.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Kaiba Japanese Restaurant in Anaheim, and I can confidently say it was a remarkable experience that exceeded all my expectations. The interior is tastefully designed with soothing colors, soft lighting, and comfortable seating, making it the perfect setting for a relaxed and intimate meal.

The star of the evening was, undoubtedly, the food. Kaiba serves up an authentic and exquisite selection of Japanese cuisine that is sure to delight even the most discerning palates. The menu boasts a wide range of options, including sushi, sashimi, tempura, udon, and various grilled dishes. The sushi and sashimi at Kaiba are truly a work of art. The cuts of fish are incredibly fresh and melt-in-your-mouth tender. The sushi chefs showcase their mastery with each delicate roll, presenting a visual feast that is as pleasing to the eye as it is to the taste buds. The variety of fish and seafood options available is impressive, ensuring there is something to please every sushi lover.

One standout dish was the tempura. The batter was perfectly crispy, allowing the flavors of the shrimp and vegetables to shine through. Each bite was a delightful combination of textures and tastes, leaving me craving more. The udon noodles were also a highlight, cooked to perfection, and served in a rich, flavorful broth that left me feeling warm and satisfied.

This place was great! My family of 5 came 30 mins after it opened so food was fresh and service was fast and great! We ordered the small combo sashimi mix, spicy miso ramen, tonkatsu ramen, popcorn roll, ca roll, salmon mini burrito, sesame chicken with green onions, and a salmon roll. This was a lot to take in but we were able to eat it all.

Ramen Spicy miso ramen was tasty. Slurped down the broth and all the addons. Fresh veggies enhanced the ramen and the spice level was a solid medium. I could have added more but had to keep it mild foe the kids. The egg wasn't pickled correctly or something because i didnt get that pickle taste from each bite. Tonkatsu ramen was great! Broth had huge amounts of flavor. The pork was delicious and it had a very hardy taste. Veggies were fresh and tasty. Popcorn roll crawdads were phenomenal. Even though the outside rolle was a CA roll, the crawdads were grilled to perfection. The flaky crust was sprinkled over the whole fish which gave a crunchy taste to every bite. Definitely have to try again! Sesame chicken with green onions was a hit for us. The chicken was deep fried perfectly! For the adults, the green onion had a great sautéed sauce that complimented the chicken. It was a very tasty dish. The small sushi combo was tasty! All sashimi and the pepper/wasabi mixture really complimented the sashimi. Each piece was thick sliced which was different from the picture on the menu. (Which is welcomed!) There was also a great seaweed salad on the side which pickled carrots and sliced cucumbers. Mini salmon burrito was just how it looks: a sushi roll in your hand. There was a good slab of salmon pieces in the middle. The lettuce kind of threw me off but it worked. The salmon skin gave the burrto a good crunch and the imitation crab reminded me of sprinkles for ice cream. Delish! Quick note, add the pepper/wasabi mix to enhance your taste! CA roll was good as it is. Not much to say about this... Salmon roll was tasty and it had black sesame seeds on top. Tasty and delicious.

All in all. The food was great and the service was awesome. I would've given it a 4.5 but ratings are imperfect. Will definitely come back...

I've driven past this place many times but sort of assumed it couldn't be good. I was prejudiced by the drive thru I guess. Like how can a ramen place with a drive thru be good? It's irrational thinking, of course. Also, in my mind it was never busy because I didn't really see many cars there, or thought I didn't. But the wife and I were in the mood for ramen and decided to give it a go. To my surprise it was quite busy when we arrived at dinner time on a Sunday, and we had a brief wait for a table. There were two TV's, one with a game on and the other with a movie. The woman who greeted us was friendly, and the place generally seemed comfortable and homey.

I ordered Tonkatsu Ramen and the wife got Spicy Miss Ramen. We also got a sushi roll to split. I enjoyed my ramen a great deal, nicely cooked egg, melt in mouth chashu, rich broth. Wife's was also good. Cheap Asahi draft beer served ice cold was also great!

The waitress was very nice and extremely welcoming of our somewhat misbehaving toddler (past her bedtime). She'd have had a right to be a little annoyed, but instead she played with our little one and chatted with her, and basically, again, made us feel at home. However, I do think the waitstaff may have been slightly overworked that night, with maybe too much being asked of them in terms of how many tables each had to deal with. I overheard a different party complaining to each other about a long wait for their check or something, but we didn't have any service issues. Our waitress couldn't have been nicer, more prompt or more helpful.

All in all it was a fun, reasonable priced, and most importantly delicious dinner, and we'll be...
