Vandy Donuts — Restaurant in Anaheim

TL/DR Vandy doughnuts is perfection.

I am gluten intolerant. I am 100% gluten free 90% of the time but I love doughnuts, specifically yeasted doughnuts and there are no good GF options in that category. So, on the rare occasion, I just can't get over the craving for a yeasted doughnut I need it to be spectacular because I'm choosing to feel AWFUL afterwards... It has to be worth it.

We went to Vandy doughnuts today and OH WOW! Worth it. 100%. These are what should be considered role models for the classic doughnut. Lemon filled, cinnamon sugar, sprinkles, glazed. They are all done just perfectly. The bite, the chew, the toppings. I'm just glad I don't live in the area because it would be dangerous!

Decided to check this place out early morning and there was already a line at 6:20 on a Saturday. Have not tried the donuts yet but they look amazing. I also got the roast beef sandwich on croissant and she asked me if I wanted jalapeños which, of course I did. The best part is I was going to put the dozen donuts in my car and before I can even get out the door, she already have my sandwich ready. It definitely has that old-school feeling and the sandwich was on point. Next time I am in Anaheim. It’s a must to hit this place again. Walked out spending $27 on a bakers dozen which is 13 donuts and a roast beef sandwich. Absolutely amazing and the people are fantastic...

Very nice and clean location. I had one of their glazed and one of their devil's food with chocolate icing donuts. The glazed was good and had the traditional taste and texture. The devil's food was both good and interesting. It was also fried, but what seemed like only lightly fried to give the outside a slight crunch while the inside was moist and light.
