Small, newly-opened, family-run Korean restaurant tucked away in the back of a shopping plaza off E Santa Ana Canyon Rd. Parking is available via the shared plaza parking lot.
Interior is small and cozy with tables and booth benches available for seating. Service was friendly but very, very slow. They only had 4 types of banchan (small sides for sharing, included with your meals) - most places give you more, so I was sad about their small selection.
We ordered their bibimbap - we got it spicy but it was very mild. Also surprised to see no gojujang sauce available on the table. Their bibimbap is not traditional and did NOT look like the picture on their menu - they use kimchi, lettuce, and egg roe with your choice of protein but no raw chicken egg or traditional sauteed vegetables like spinach, carrots, or bean sprouts. Their stone pot was also not hot at all... Flavors were good, but definitely different.
Overall, would rate 4/5 for food and 3/5 for service. Pricing is reasonable and we'll likely come back again. Hope the service is faster and they serve more banchan next time.
💡 Lactose intolerant? They put butter in their bibimbap so request...
Read moreI was excited that they finally brought a Korean place in Anaheim because there is not any near where I live. But when my mom and I ordered it to go what I got was not my favorite but I liked what my mom got. I got the Masito Black Bean Ramen which I thought was going to be like the Jajangmyeon but it didn't because it was instant which is why I was disappointed. Hopefully they'll carry a non-instant Jajangmyeon. My mom ordered the Japchae which was pretty good and we also got the Bulgogi Bibimbap which was good. Okay I came here my second time and I got the Soon Tofu soup in mild which was okay but I think regular spice would have been better. The soup was still good and I think I would get it again. I hope they can add more Korean dishes like a non-instant Jjajangmyeon and spinach instead of lettuce with Shittake mushrooms with a fried egg on the Bibimbap that my mom ordered today. This change could make the restaurant extra popular. And the customer service is still great, hopefully more improvements will come along the way. I hope they can take this into consideration and not take this too personal, I need to be honest...
Read moreBeen a local to the area for 20+ years so was super excited to hear a Korean restaurant opened up nearby. We got the chicken pancake, bulgogi bibimbap, mushroom and beef soondooboo. Everything tasted home cooked and were unique renditions of the traditional dishes. They are VERY generous with their meats in the dishes, and you can adjust the saltiness for the soups. We devoured all our dishes- kids loved it too! I know some reviews mentioned that service is slow, but keep in mind, this is a small, family business that is just starting so yes, things could take longer than a fast food joint or a larger restaurant with multiple servers and cooks. Server checked on us multiple times so we didn’t feel skimped on the service at all. With the prices being so reasonable and the food tasting great, I’d rather wait a little more for good food at a great price with a friendly server vs going to a restaurant with a unhappy server and mediocre food that comes out a couple minutes sooner. We’ll...
