McDonald's — Restaurant in Andalusia

I'm going out of my way to leave a review for this fast food restaurant because the fast food restaurants in this town are so incredibly terrible and I had the best experience at this one the other day and was so pleasantly surprised that I wanted to go out of my way to leave a good review for it. First and foremost, I order a hamburger at all hamburger joints because I really, truly don't like American cheese to the point it literally ruins a hamburger for me because I don't like it that much. Despite the fact that I always order a hamburger, I NEVER actually get one. I ALWAYS am giving a cheeseburger, even if I order verbally with someone through the drive-thru, I still get given a cheeseburger, even if I say "a hamburger, no cheese please," I ALWAYS get a cheeseburger. McDonald's now has these new machines where you basically place your order yourself and can modify it in any way you want. And, strangely, their dollar menu has a cheeseburger but it does not have a hamburger at all. So I used the cheeseburger option and modified it to say no cheese even though it was a cheeseburger and also modified it to add mayonnaise, figuring I wouldn't get either of my requests and that I would get a pre-made cheeseburger slapped into a bag. Not only did I get no cheese, but I also got mayo even though they wrapped them in cheeseburger wrappers. I also want to comment that they were extremely busy. There was a line in the drive-thru that wrapped all the way around the building, yet I still got EXACTLY what I ordered. Despite the fact that I had a crappy little order with 3 "dollar" menu items, they took the time to specially make exactly what I requested, despite the fact they were extremely busy. Also, the gentleman at the counter was extremely friendly and going above and beyond to make sure people got the discount they deserved (like the senior discount) without having to ask and an upgrade to a meal to save them money on things they were already buying piecemeal. I was pleasantly surprised by the entire interaction, particularly considering how bad fast food service is in this entire area. I was having quite literally the worst possible day that a person can have and expected to have my meal come out not as ordered and be one more disappointment in an already very disappointing day and you have no idea how much something as little as getting what you actually ordered can mean to somebody, particularly when they're having a terrible day. So, thank you. It turned my frown upside down and is the reason I'm here leaving this wonderful review. I particularly want to make sure the older gentleman running the register at the counter who had long salt and pepper hair knows how highly I felt of his customer service skills. You don't see people in that position, at least not in this area, going above and beyond to be kind and helpful the way I witnessed him being. He deserves a raise. Good evening, This email is to inform you of the horrible service your night shift employees are offering your customers, I usually do not eat @ fast food restaurants late night but I made an exception on 5/22/14, and I must say I was very disappointed. It was approximately 15min til closing and I ordered a bacon habanero combo (large) 2 double cheeseburgers. For my drink I asked for a strawberry shake. I was informed that the machine was "down" so I then asked for a coffee.. I was again told the machine was "down". I had to settle for a soft drink. I also asked for a new peaches and creme pie... to my surprise I was told the store was "out"... on another note: the employee was unprofessional taking my order. Asking me "what else" instead of "would you like anything else" or "can I offer you anything else".. I will never return as a customer and will not recommend this business to anyone . Your night staff needs to be trained or retrained in delivering exceptional customer service. I speak with experience and I can already make an educated guess that your nightly sales for this location has declined. I went to the Andulsia location on 7/30/17 at approximately 8:20pm. My order order number was 356. My order was taken and the complete wait time close to 20 minutes I received my food from a manager who identified herself as Miss Kay. I went to my car to only discover that I was missing part of my order, 6 chocolate chip cookies. I went back in and tried to let her know I just needed my cookies, but she refuses to stop to hear what I was Back in for approximately 6 minutes. I was finally able to tell her and she said they were in the oven at that moment. I asked another associate how long it would take because I was given no eta, and they said it only takes two minutes to make fresh cookies. I received my cookies and they weren’t even warm. I was finished with my review, but I just finished looking at the rest of my order and I asked for no onions and my order showed no onions on my burgers, and they have onions on them. I could understand if the order was taken incorrectly, but it wasn’t. And I ordered two burgers, one was warm and the other was cold as if it had been sitting out or previously made for another order. I will never return and will copy this...
