Glazed Bakery — Restaurant in Anderson

This is the second time my family has gone here. The first time was shortly after opening and we thought the bakery items were OK but overpriced, we figured it was because they were new, so we went back today and unfortunately it will be the last time. We got a Oreo cookie sandwich, a smores cookie sandwich and a plain chocolate chip cookie, although one of sons and my husband said they were ok they complained they were very dry. We got the chocolate chip cookie for our youngest son, he took 2 bites and refused the rest, because it was hard and had too much salt which was visible on top. I got a vanilla cupcake and although it was beautifully decorated, it was so overdone that it was dry and stuck to the wrapper and the frosting tasted like butter or lard. We stopped by just to see if the new bakery offered anything gluten free and we were well rewarded! In talking with the kind owner we learnt that the gluten free items are prepared separately and the offerings change regularly. We bought almond croissant cookies, oatmeal cream pies, and a loaf of bread. The bread has exquisite taste and texture. We asked and sadly there is not a gluten free sourdough option. Given how delicious the loaf bread is, we'll keep hoping that they discover the secret to sourdough. (The owner explained they tried to make some but were displeased with the outcome.) Great little bakery, love the location, and staff are wonderful and helpful. Everything looked so good. I tried the blueberry muffin which exceeded my expectations. The only thing I'd recommend is posting prices on the big menu on the wall, as well as product names and prices next to each item. Had I bought more items then had a $$$ surprise at checkout, I'd have been annoyed and not come back. Really wanted to try a loaf of bread and some other bakery items but without prices posted, I'm glad I didn't. Muffin was $4.75 and worth it. But please list prices.☺️Only reason I...
