This place was absolutely amazing. Sent my taste buds to a heavenly wonderland. I HIGHLY recommend the jalapeno popper oysters(my fave now, with its spicy creamy goodness) Rockefellar, and their raw oysters are some of the best I have had in the country. The West Va raw on a half shell is just perfection. Great craft selection. I had piece of cookie I think. Very delicious rich porter type. We also tried another light coffee beer that was delicious. We had market price steamed peel and eat with old bay and they were delicious and such a great price. The street corn was so delicious. We had such great conversation with both shuckers/bartender waiters. Awesome service. Cannot say enough good things. You won't regret it.

Wow! The chef from Louisiana knows how to throw down. His take on crawfish is unmatched. The depth of flavor and the right amount of heat invites you to drink the sauce. Of course the oysters are great, an oyster shooter with the Palmetto White Lightning Moonshine with a dash of Bloody Mary mix is where it is at, hands down this restaurant is a surprise to find in the town of Anderson. Well done!

The oysters tasted old and they were 2 dollars each. The service was terrible, no refills on water and we never received our flight of margaritas after 20 minutes and after our food was served. And it’s not like they were busy. The worst part was the sauce with the bayou shrimp. And I have never written a review like this. It was awful, super bitter, and uneditable.

Has gone a little downhill overall the past few times we've been here. Have been coming to Shuck's since they opened a few years ago, came here often, and have always had a great experience for the most part with service, food and drinks. However, in the past one or two years, the food we usually order on a regular basis and love (chopped salad, for example) has definitely changed. They used to use big, meaty chunks of bacon, bleu cheese crumbles and romaine lettuce. Went there the other night, gave the chopped salad another try, but it was just as disappointing as the last few times: lettuce is a spring mix, no longer chopped romaine, with some kind of bitter lettuce in the mix. Bacon was like any other bacon you'd get anywhere else, nothing special. There was no choice of bleu cheese versus cheddar (or feta or whatever they used to offer). The cheddar seemed like it was the finely shredded kind from a bag. The croutons were very plain and would have been better to omit them altogether. I think they used to use homemade croutons in the past (at least they tasted like homemade). I believe they used to serve the chopped salad with thinly sliced red onion. This time, salad was served with lettuce in the middle and all the other ingredients (tomatoes, bacon, finely chopped white onion, cucumbers, shredded cheddar) surrounding the lettuce--then piled high in a very small bowl which spilled onto the table when you attempted to cut it or take a bite from a fork. For a side salad, it was very plentiful and great for the price. Wish they would go back to the way they used to make it--and serve in a bigger bowl, or better yet, on a plate.

The crab cake appetizer is still pretty good, doesn't seem to have changed much from a few years ago. But again--served on a very small plate the size of a saucer. Maybe serve on at least a salad-size plate next time, or the kind of plate shown in the picture on the online menu.

We got the cornbread starter but will not get again. Bread was dry, edges were burned.

Waitress was wonderful (she always is; have had her before) but service very slow. It was a Saturday around 6:00, restaurant was pretty full as you'd expect for a Saturday. Maybe they were short staffed, but we waited a long time for our food. Decided to order cocktails because the food was taking so long, but it took another 15-20 minutes to get those after we ordered.

Didn't order any of the other items we used to get on a regular basis that were never disappointing, like low country boil steam tray, tuna tartare or pimento cheese dip with pita, so not sure how these and other items fare these days. We love the atmosphere at Shuck's and will come back and try these favorites of ours again. Just disappointed that the chopped salads we so loved do not compare to what...

The Wait Staff was good. They Both was Nice and Friendly. They was Informative about the food. It was a day after 03/25 My Birthday and the day before 03/27 My Housbands Birthday it was 03/26/24 We Both had Our Sites set on Crab Legs. Well We got the Low Country Boil. And 1 lb Crab legs. At another Sea Food Restaurant, We got this same Order. It was at Yammy Crab Some Where in Woner Robins Ga,. Needless to say it was nothing alike. At this Place the Portions was a half Size Smaller (Way Smaller) My Husband got his Crab Legs and then I got mine. At the same time. On his Plate was a large and Good Portion of Crab Legs. On My Plate was a Small and not so good Portion of Crab Legs. Instead of a Plastic Bag like You Normally would get with a low Country. We both got a Small Portion of Quarter Size Potatoes (small) 2 Corn on the Cobs each. About 8 to 10 bite Size Sausage and a good Portion of Peal-N-Eat Shrimp 🦐 about 6 each. I got Tea to Drink and My Housband got 2 Draft Beers and a Ice Water. Well Our Garlic Butter got cold real fast, it turned pretty much into grease. We not Only Dipped Our Legs in it, It also was over Our Corn 🌽, Potatoes πŸ₯”, Sausage and We Dipped Our Peal and Eat Shrimp in it also. After 3 to 4 Minutes everything was greasy. The Legs was Good just wasn't enough for the Price. We Paid $126.74 just for Him and I to Eat. $106.74 was for Our Meal, and We gave Our Waiter $20 tip. When We went to Yammy Crab πŸ¦€ in Woner Robin's Ga,. Got the Same thing. Much Larger Portion, Crab Legs was thick, Jucy, Great Flavor. It was in a Plastic bag, soaked In Butter & Garlic Sauce. 2 Corn on the Cobs 🌽, 2 Boiled Eggs πŸ₯š, Quarter bite Size Potatoes πŸ₯”, Sausages and Peal and Eat Shrimp 🦐 all soaked in Cagin Garlic and Butter Sauce. All stayed in the Plastic bag and Stayed Hot and it did not get Greasy. It was Delicious. MY Housband had 2 beers and a Water I had Sweet Tea. For 2 People to Eat and Tip it was $82. Pluse $20 Tip. It = Up to $102. And Everything was Great. Other than the Nice People and Good Customer's Service at Shucks & Oyster, the food was not worth the Price We Paid. YAMMY CRAB πŸ¦€: Yes We will go Back. SHUCKS & OYSTER: No We won't...

My family came in and there was available seating immediately. The seating consists of chairs on one side and a wood slab as a bench. The bench is uncomfortable.

We were not warned that there would be a long wait until an hour later when the waiter and waitress were panicking to get food out. We were offered comps then and we said no and waited.

When the food came, one item was prepared incorrectly. The mac and cheese was terrible. It was cold and runny at the bottom and a large melted block of cheddar on top. Shrimp, crab legs, potatoes and sausage were average. The waitresses came by to collect plates and we sent at least half of the food that was brought out.

The table beside me had a similar experience but said it was not like this in previous visits. The waiter came over and took items off the bill and gave comps for over half the food. I did not ask for compensation or discount. The waiter explained the staffing was low because of covid and he knew some of the food did not look correct. The bill after comp was $79.

I left a $20 tip because the waiter and waitress were nice and tried to do the right thing.

Not angry or mad but it was my wife's birthday so I was disappointed that she had to sit through it all.

To be extremely fair, I did not try the beer, wine or oysters so maybe I missed something there. Unfortunately because of the experience and cost, it will be...
