Absolutely HORRIBLE! Its not even a McDonalds thing, it is this specific store. Lets go on a journey of how my morning went. At 715, my son asked if we could get McDonalds. Sure why not, one less thing I have to deal with and worry about. With in a couple of minutes our order was placed. 1 Saugae Egg McMuffin meal with an orange juice, 1 Egg McMuffin with a Carmel Macchiato and Breakfast Burrito meal with Carmel Macchiato. Order was placed by 720. In which due to previous experience, I place the order way ahead of time. Money was taken out of my bank almost immediately. At 756 while driving, I received the notification on Mobile Order, that my food was ready to pick up. YES!! This store is going to get it right once in their life. At 8:05, I was pulling up to the 14th Street McDonalds (McDonalds down town - as they like to refer them selves to). As I walked in to the newly renovated store, I look in the mobile order window. Much to my surprise, after already getting my hopes up, that the "McDonalds Downtown" is on top of it this morning, there was ZERO orders in the window. As I stood there was 9 other individuals, waiting for someone to come to the counter, I personally watched 2 two walk in and walk out. Finally at 8:15, a lady come up to the counter with somebody else's order. When I asked her about my order, she wanted to argue that we she didnt have the order. Yes, I looking at my order number on the lovely board of how slow or jacked up is the McDonald system. After the lovely individual, who should never be in the front line of customer service finally realized, her level of expertise she went and picked up the order as it was just sitting on a lonely ledge. Lovely McDonalds Worker: "You are going to have to wait on your drinks" Myself: Do you know how long? Ray of Sunshine of McDonalds: "Nope - not at all" Myself: Unfortunately, I can not wait any longer, I have to get to the office, as I have meetings all morning. McDonalds Employee of the Year: "That sounds like a you problem"
As I proceeded out the door at 826, I called the "McDonalds Downtown" to discuss these matters with the Manager.
As I excited the building with sack in hand, but no drinks, my belly was grumbling with excitement, that I at least get to eat something, and I'll drink the office coffee. As I opened the sack, I suddenly realized I am missing a sandwich and a burrito. How that would be a fantastic question for the day.
As I was trying to discuss the matters, and find a resolution, the Manager proceeded to put the phone down and continue to work, all while myself, and group of attorneys listened to the McDonalds banter, of how people are slow in the back, and cant take an order. Or how they are not working under conditions like this. Now at 915, still while...
Read moreFirst of all, BEFORE complaining, I want to give praise where praise is due. The indoor cashier, Amanda, did a phenomenal job. She made sure that I got my food even though she had to go and prepare the fries herself. I really appreciate her initiative. Kudos!
Now, the other franchise workers (other than those manning the takeout window and cooking) need a dressing down. I was left waiting for fries - twice. Several workers knew that I was waiting for fries, yet they were just milling around. One girl in particular, I think her name was Jackie (white, brown hair in a ponytail, plump, black shirt), was doing the absolute minimum. The cashier told her that I was waiting for my fries and she just wandered off in the general direction of the fries, scooped up some fries and left them on the rack. Another worker told her to keep an eye on the wrapped sandwiches that were coming down the little ramp to be put in bags and given to the customers. As soon as the worker that gave her the order turned her back, this girl just wondered off. I literally did not see her complete a single task. I was disgusted by the complete lack of concern for customer service or basic appreciation for her job. Her boss should remind her that "Jane" and "Joe Public" are always watching. Her inability to even be mediocre has caused this entire franchise to receive a 1 star rating. No worker exists in a vacuum - your actions directly reflect on your place of employment.

Read moreThe food (a chicken sandwich meal & a double bacon cheeseburger meal & 2 apple pies & 2 plain sundaes) was DISGUSTING & INEDIBLE! The chicken was UNDERCOOKED. The burger was UNDERCOOKED. The 2 apple pies & the 2 sundaes? COMPLETELY MISSING! I walked in the restaurant to a customer saying 'we've waited 20 mins for FRIES'..then I ordered, I didn't get it till I was waiting 20 mins for my food..that had been sitting up on the counter, had gotten COLD..no one had called out my order #! ....if that was the worst problem, ok-ish..but the employees? Rude, slow moving (during dinner time??), the manager was chit-chatting with another employee who was just a customer @ that time, & doing NOTHING except glaring @ ANY CUSTOMER who asked for a manager to complain - went right back to chatting with off duty employee! The service? If I had behaved like any of the front counter or drive thru employees behaved when I worked for McDonald's, I would've been fired, immediately! It appears that pretty much all their employees, including the managers, hate their jobs & hate...
