I went here last week and the one waitress was great. She was friendly, attentive, not overwhelming, brought us extra napkins and made sure our chips and salsa and beans were full and finished by packaging up our food for us.
We returned today and the service was absolutely awful. I couldn't hardly get any attention or service from the 2 waitresses or 1 waiter. I had to request water, and napkins, and chips, and the beans the gave us were cold and stiff. This isn't a huge deal but when I asked for a to-go box, which she forgot, she then just placed it on the table and left. I'm not sure if it's policy for them to package your food or if we just had a good waitress the first visit.
We ordered the same meal as last time to be safe but asked if they could add a little spice to it. I feel as if either purposely put so much heat that my mouth was on fire instantly and began to sweat or they weren't listening to me at all when I said "a little spice". When I asked very kinda of it could be remade, the normal way, without any extra spice because it was uncomfortably hot and unenjoyable the waitress looked at me conflicted as if she didn't want to have it remade and was hoping I would just eat it.
One more note on the food, when we final got the refill of the chip basket and after eating a few of them I noticed a dirty chip... It appeared to possibly be dipped in salsa at one time and then put back in the basket, maybe someone else's chips they recycled and gave to us. I covered the chip back up and didn't bother saying anything about it. I apologize if you get that dirty chip after they put the basket back under the heat lamp.
From my experience, most Mexican restaurants have music playing in the background as to set the theme and feeling but it's also nice in order to not be able to hear what your fellow customers or discussing. There was no music and I would describe the neighbors conversations as disturbing, annoying and cringe worthy. I know it isn't the restaurants fault what they were discussing but the music would have helped drown it out.
The pitcher we ordered to share, the same as last time was also a huge regret. It was extremely weak and filled mostly with syrup flavoring at the bottom. On this note the first visit the pitcher was easier to pour from and this one had a bad lip design that ended up making every pour turn into a mess on the table. This is when I finally requested to have napkins.
Overall we had one good visit and one extremely unforgettable experience. I will definitely not be returning but don't let that stop you, my results were only 50/50 which isn't awful odds if you are willing to risk the outcome of losing...

I ordered to go to hard shell shrimp tacos without cheese. When I order food to go I always check my order before leaving the place of business. I check my food at the counter and they are soft shell tacos covered in cheese, so I politely remind the lady behind the counter that I asked for crunchy without cheese. She takes it back a little annoyed with me and brings out tacos 20 minutes later. They're now hard shell but still covered in cheese. And it wasn't like I could just pick the cheese off these tacos were covered and I mean covered in cheese. I asked her about the cheese and at that point you didn't want to deal with me anymore. She refused to take the order back and make a third set of tacos without cheese. It sounds trivial because it's just cheese but the fact that the order was wrong three different times is very frustrating. The food was great but food along side of bad service scan in a way to change the taste of the food. On top of that I usually ask for the total before I get there so that I have the right amount if I'm not using my card. She told me it was going to be $5.99. I'm thinking that seems insanely cheats for two tacos. So I asked again to clarify the price. I get there and it was 5.99 per taco. She seemed very distraught that I didn't tip her. Read moreI would think with the limited dining rules in effect, they would chearish the take out business. But NO. This evening I ordered 2 #2 dinners to go. While waiting the young lady at the counter spent all that time on the phone. Since I'm not paying her wages, that's okay with me. Except,, that my order was brought out an placed on a table. I was the only one waiting for a to go order. So, the person bringing it out, could have just handed it to me. After waiting 5 min for her to realize there was an order waiting for pickup, I went to look at the receipt. It was my order. I simply took it and left. She's probably still on the phone. Got home and the food was cold, which leaves me to believe it was never hot when it left the kitchen. I normally have a good experience with this company. But today, not so much.
