I am not sure whats going on with this restaurant when it was in Redding it was by far the best Chinese restaurant around!! now it's better then what it was when I first went in at its current location in Anderson say two years back may be 3years ago as it was my birthday and my birthday is only a few days away, any who so 3years ago I said I would never go there again!! because they served me war won ton soup, first point when it arrived there was no won tons in it so had them take it back and put some in, when I started eating it it tasted a bit off the veggies seem like they came from a food give away and the shrimp was rotten and bitter yes ROTTEN!!! fast forward 6 months ago my long lost Daughter got ahold of me and started telling me how much she loves the place, so on my daughters behalf and request I gave it another chance it was like night and day the war won ton soup was great!! need a little more flavoring but compared to before well I was not disgusted this time at all customer service was kind!! second time around they left us sitting for a really long time and I finally went up to the register to order yet they met me there and just wanted me to sit and they took our order, when I paid the bill I was asked for a $5 tip?? knowing my mom said she would pay the tip this kinda set me a bit back what restaurant ask you for a tip when covering your tab at the register!?? okay thats a bit off but sense then I keep getting cold off looks from the lady every time I go in to buy there chili oil which I have been doing sense the first time I gave them another chance, and I was starting to make it a thing to go there every month with my daughter but she moved to reno :'( but honestly the looks I get I don't like to go in there any more to even buy the chili oil, its just cold and unwelcoming you know that like warm kinda caring feeling you get by servers in some restaurants yeah its just not there its just cold and...
Read moreThe food is always delicious. Today the AC wasn't working, the thermostat read 84, they had a fan blowing. The resturant was not busy only 4 tables. She didn't bring what you ask for, water and tea, besides makes you wait. I asked her for cups for tea after the fact. I asked the cook for sweet sour sauce, when he delivered our food, she was not picking up the orders. The sweet n sour sauce was given to the other table by her, so I asked someone else and it came immediately. Tables weren't being cleared off, because she was too busy doing nothing. The check came, pen didn't have ink I used mine and she never picked up the payment, or said thank you for coming by. The tall pink haired girl with the nose ring is a terrible waitress, unfriendly, never comes over to check on you. The staff always goes out of their way to make sure you have what you might need. Not nose ring, pink hair girl, she needs to leave and go elsewhere .Other than that the Peacock has delicious food and...
Read moreThe worst Chinese food ever in my life. They had an attitude when I asked for a refill of ice tea and extra lemon and when I asked for extra napkins they gave me one at a time. I asked for a to go cup and they said they didn't have any. It wasn't worth what they charged us. Oh the soup they brought us looked like it had mystery meat in it so I didn't even try it. I asked for a substitution on the combination plate I ordered and they put it in a soup cup. If I ran this restaurant I would not have been happy with the food that was being served. I could just imagine what John Tafer of Bar Rescue would do if he were to come into this restaurant would have done lol. Seriously though they didn't have the soy sauce in a bottle like most Chinese restaurants have with the hot sauce and the sugar it was like something I would see in a foreign country,...
