Yea will never go back. My wife enjoys their smoothies. I was a big fan at the one in Charlotte, but here not so much just being honest. Was there this past Sunday am, and i was ordering and while inserting my card, (i had my head down) (but could see out the corner if my eye) the guy taking my order turned to the girl behind him, said something and made some kind of gesture ,, (by this time i had my head up,as my card was done processing) (he didnt know it as he still had his back turned ), she looked right at me and literally busted out laughing. I didn't say anything, oh well, no big deal i dont come here oftwn anyways.
But then he turns back around, as he juat realized i noticed what he did, he turns bright red, then proceeds to make small talk ad says, "oh nice shades, are those Versace??" I kind of chuckled, (because he was embarrassed) & replied and said "no man, they are cheap knock offs." So he said,ok name for the order?? i said yes, T.R, he says ok TO, hands me ny receipt.
I sit down, waited for the orde young girl calls TO, i got up she handed me the order, no thank you, have a nice day, nothing. That was the Acai Bowl. Then my order comes for my smoothie, so i said well maybe a thank-you, have a nice day from her. Nope. She just looks at me hands me the drink and that was it. I purchased 2 smoothies and a acai bowl. So it was maybe around 30 bucks..so not expecting anything more than the same way the othee guest were treated...but...its all good.
I been in customer service all my life ,and the 1st rule of decorum is to ensure, when employees atr engaging in small talk, chatter , or joking while working ( which is great as it promotes healthy balance in the workplace amongst coworkers) you never want the customer to think or even close to assuming ,the chatter, joke or small talk is even remotely about or towards them...
So next time, I'll just let my wife or daughter's go. This popped up in my Google feed for review, just decided to get this off my chest, nothing more, nothing less. They looked like a young staff so maybe a bad morning, as it was starting to get busy. But when i walked in there was a couple sitting and one customer had just ordered and left out. After i ordered the rush came, so i dont know.

I ordered “2” smoothies (yes, just 2) and I was the only customer in the store at the time of my order - but the 4 employees who were working could care less about servicing me - they were more concerned with chatting it up with each other and goofing around. My smoothie order sat in the blender waiting for 10mins for someone to complete my order. No one bothered to check on it until I said something. My suggestion for this location is FOCUS on the customer you are waiting on, and complete their order BEFORE you assist others. They could NOT refund my order when I expressed my discontent - and said they would leave a message for management. I doubt they will - and have yet to hear from anyone. I left with no product and no refund and an attitude from the staff that couldn’t care less that they failed to provide quality...
Read moreMy gym friends and I enjoy coming to tropical smoothie cafe after our workout. So as a Galentine gift , i wanted to gift 4 of my friends with a gift card . When I tried to purchase the gift cards in store, i was informed by an employee that they could only do one $25 gift card per customer per day . Meaning that i would have to purchase 1 gift card the day of and come back a different day for another one . To me that doesn’t even sound right or make sense ,and if it is there policy , then why isn’t it on the website or posted somewhere in store . The associate told me that i could still purchase at least one today , but i informed him that it would defeat the purpose . So instead i decided to gift my friends with smoothie...
