I've frequented this Caribou Coffee on multiple occasions and this morning was the final straw that broke the camels back. I understand that coffee places are busy and the workers there work there butts off but between long wait times and having to pay before the coffee has been poured and then running out of the specific type of coffee that was purchased, I've had it. I normally bring in a thermos to have filled because I do enjoy Caribou brand coffee. However, this morning was it. I walked in the door and was able to walk right up the counter and I asked them to fill my thermos. The woman then took my card and ran it, which I was not feeling good about because of the last few times of them running out of the specific type of coffee. I guess it's my fault for not asking them how much coffee they had left, or maybe they should have known, I don't know. Anyway, I pay for the coffee, she turns around and gets about 1/4 of the thermos filled and says they're out and if I would like to wait for more to be brewed. I inform them that I don't have time. She then turns around and starts pouring another type of coffee into the thermos. It took me a second to realized what she was doing and I asked her to stop. I was a little taken back by the this and asked to just have my thermos because I was frankly annoyed and I was running out of time to get to work. Another woman stepped in and asked me if I would like a refund, which I would have gladly accepted, however, I was out of time and had to go. I know this seems so trivial and is #1stworldproblems. I don't want anyone to get in trouble but I would like to recommend a couple suggestions:
Would it be possible to have a line for people that just want a plain black coffee? That way you don't need to wait behind someone that has ordered a drink that has 15 steps to make it?
Check and see how much coffee is left before someone pays...
Read moreI have stopped here multiple times and every time my experience has been horrible, which is upsetting because I love caribou and work for caribou myself.
The first time I went I ordered an iced drink. I went inside and there was no one else in the store. I waited 10-15 to get my drink and when I got it the drink was still warm and there was no ice in it.
Today I went in and ordered a mocha half dark half milk chocolate and a large classic black iced tea. Simple. I was the first one in line and it took her 5 minutes to get my drinks rang up. When I got my mocha it was only half dark chocolate, there was no milk chocolate and not the full amount of chocolate, and I then had to ask for my iced tea. They then realized they were out of the kind of tea I want (I don't understand how you can be out of iced tea at 7 am your night people are supposed to make sure you have the drinks for morning rush) I also believe you should know when you're out of something so you can tell your customers before they order it!
They are always under staffed especially for the morning rush. If you're in a hurry I wouldn't stop here especially if you want your...
Read moreI left the house wanting hot tea. So because it's convenient, I decided to stop through the Caribou drive-thru. I ordered a large green tea. It was so disgusting I couldn't even drink it. I opened the lid there's two humongous tea bags in my cup. It was so gross. So strong I could not drink it and the flavor was terrible
So I called and talked to a manager, explained we're on our way to Iowa City and that I would stop on my way back and I would like a replacement cup of a different type of tea. She said no problem she'll write it down and to come back in this afternoon. So I come back in this afternoon and the girl comes to the window and says, "Well my manager doesn't doesn't remember speaking to you but I can go ahead and give you a free cup of tea." Insinuating I was making the whole thing up. I even looked at my phone to double check the time that I called and spoke to the manager. This time I decided to try just a plain chai hot tea. Instead I got a chai latte, I never ordered a chai latte. So twice I got something I didn't like or want and the customer service was once again horrible at Caribou...
