We ordered a washing machine and dryer 12/12/23. The scheduled delivery + install was set for 12/15/23. They told us they would take the old appliances and install the new ones.
Problems from day 1! The installers refused to install the washing machine because our wall valve had a tiny leak when they turned the water off. Refused to install the new washer. Then they refused to install the dryer because the dryer vent from the dryer to wall didnt line up perfectly…. Said we had to have a fitting…. And left. So WE INSTALLED both! We also had the plumber come out and switch our valve that had a tiny drip that didnt even impact the machine. But that was fine.
What wasnt fine—- the next morning after we installed the washer ourself, we had water on our laundry room floor from a leak in the drain pipe on the back and a leak under the machine!!!! 2 leaks!! On the unit!
I spent hours on the phone trying to get a new one.
Finally got the new one delivered- had a DENT in it. The dent was from the driver and how it was secured. He told me: you have 2 options: accept it and loose all warranty (told him NO) or Refuse and we order you a replacement. I refused. He told me to call the 1-800 number in an hour to start the process again. I didn’t wait an hour, I a called my local home depot and got the appliance manager Diane. She called the delivery people and my order was supposedly set up before she called them. She told me “you are getting white glove treatment on this delivery”. She clarified what that meant. Fast forward a week… never heard from anyone about my replacement. I called the 1-800 number again. Talked to Cloey! She was awful! Told me- there is NO UNIT ORDERED. I am getting a refund?!?!! I told her- I still have your original unit, how does that work? She was clueless- said- “we will have to come get” I said- NOPE! Not unless you bring me my washer. She insisted I am getting a refund, they had to come get the unit, THEN I CAN PLACE AN ORDER FOR A NEW UNIT AND PAY FOR THAT ONE! I said NO. “This is what is going to happen… “ and I told her I was calling my local Home Depot since she was no help. Called my local home depot and talked to Andy. He read the notes and confirmed Cloey was wrong. He told me to call the delivery company to discuss next steps. I called delivery company and got Brooke! She was AWESOME!!! Brooke handled that situation like a beast! I requested to NOT have the same delivery/ installers. She set that up too.
I am supposed to have my washer delivered today. Between 3-7pm.
My mother in law also bought a dishwasher from Home Depot and they refused to install it… told her they had to “remove walls” to install a dishwasher!!! She asked them to wait till my husband got there to review the situation and they bolted, cancelled her delivery and order!!! It was a nightmare! She marched into Home Depot and asked for her money back. When to Warner Stellian- had a machine delivered next day and installed— no wall removal needed! How bogus an excuse to not work!
Home Depot has an installer problem and a interior process situation. Need serious revamp!

Have not had many issues in the past until recently. There is one specific individual who works behind the customer service counter for returns and online order pick ups. She has been insanely rude for no reason at all several times. Enough to irritate the hell out of me. I've begun spending more of my money at Menards which is located just south of this Homedepot, about a one minute drive over. It may not seem like a big deal to lose one customer. When this customer spends thousands at the store each year and plans to continue to purchase these items decides to spend it elsewhere. Especially during an era where online shopping has taken over. It will sting. I intend on spending three to four times as much over the next couples of years as I have in past due to what it is now needed. That'll make it show even more. All because I'm tired of walking up to the counter and being treated poorly. Again, no reason for it. I will simply be standing there waiting my turn and be talked to like a child acting like a brat. I don't care what they may have going on outside of work or at work. We all have problems, some bigger/smaller than others but I can say I don't bring this to work. To say I wont shop there again would be a lie. I without a doubt wont be spending a whole lot here anymore!
Let me tell you about this damn store. Every single time I step foot in here (Which is like 5 times a week). I am almost immediately greeted. Asked if I need any help by multiple people who are not obnoxious about it. I'm there so often I pretty much know where anything I need is. When I do need help. The first individual is usually more than capable of helping me find what I'm looking for. Their prices usually match the website and if not they have always honored it. Promised free appliance reinstallation on which Home Depot decided not to deliver until they messed up our sink. They say that the appliances are gonna be installed now but no one seems sure on who is hooking them up or what they are supposed to hook up.
They told us several things to buy that were not needed according to their contractors. Returning the products was a horrible process Home Depot made as difficult as possible
I was told to buy a sink before the guy to measure the countertops came down. I went to the store and asked about under mounted sinks for the kitchen I was told that it wouldn’t be an issue by a very rude disinterested employee. Countertops got here and we were informed that the under mount sink wouldn’t work. They told us we could have the countertops remade or buy a new sink. It would have taken several months to get the countertops remade so we selected to just buy a new sink. They also said that they would install the appliances for free because of their mistake, which was something that we were promised from the start but they had went back on.
The contractors we have been working with have been the biggest issue. We have had to work with 7 different people that were supposed to be coordinating the contractors due to them quitting.
