This was a wonderful experience. Each dish was absolutely creative but also extremely flavorful. They took traditional dishes and put their own personal spin on them with ease(most places attempt to do this but it ends up being bland or a bad combination). Thoroughly impressed with every dish. We had stroganoff(amazing) whitefish (amazing again and cooked to perfection). We had spinach and artichoke dip as well as chicken tortilla soup. Even the bread and olive butter was great. For desert we had mint chocolate chip Oreo cheesecake (extremely flavorful) and maple creme brulee (cooked to perfection yet again). The one thing that was still good but did not overwhelmingly stand out was the bacon Mac and cheese. It was still very good quality Mac and cheese though. The service was great. The ambiance was fun , but also wholesome and definitely sets the mood ! The food pairs with the setting wonderfully and the playlist was majority old school jams !!!!(loved their playlist). It was a place where you have room to sit and breath without worrying about bumping the next table and you can make it a casual night out for attire or get fancy and neither option feels over or under done. Just be you and have a great time and enjoy the meal ! Thanks so much for being great Carson’s! As a person who multiple times per week is out searching new areas and places to eat and particularly looking for fine dining experiences my hat is off to the affordable (but yet quite a bit better than most places that are less affordable) experience that you receive here ! Please do yourself 10 favors at once and book your next dinner reservation with Carson’s on a Monday or a Saturday night and anything in between. Will definitely be returning soon! Maybe...
Read moreWe were traveling and stopped for lunch as we were looking for something other than fast food. Upon being seated and looking at the menu and seeing the prices, we felt it was more suited to a nice dinner out rather than lunch. At $25 for the Bistro Burger, it's a bit much. There were a couple of other sandwiches, which were a bit cheaper. On top of that, the menu stated that a 3% convenience fee would be added to all checks because of the rising price of food and credit card fees. Who is this fee convenient for? Certainly not the customer! Our server came and asked if we would like bottled water or tap. We opted for tap and were given glasses of room temperature water, no ice. You would think as much as they are charging for a meal, they could give you a couple ice cubes! We looked at the menu, used the rest room, checked our email, checked the weather forecast, and then, finally, our server came back to take our orders (the restaurant was not busy). She asked if we would like fresh bread to enjoy while we waited for our meal and we said sure. After sitting there for more than 10 minutes, my husband made the comment that maybe "fresh bread" meant we are waiting for them to make it. Our food eventually arrived, but the bread never did. My husband got the Nashville hot chicken sandwich, which he said was okay. I ordered the Caesar salad with grilled chicken. I didn't particularly care for their rendition of the Caesar dressing. It seemed to have an overwhelming lemony taste. This place might be nice for dinner but wouldn't...
Read moreMy husband and I, along with two friends, ate here for the first time last night. The atmosphere is great. Our server, Edward was very friendly and helpful, then seemed to fizzle out as the evening progressed. Each time we wanted more water, we had to ask for refills. We asked for more bread and had to wait quite awhile, he told us all the other waitstaff took all the bread that came out of the oven. And we had to remind him that he forgot our friends coleslaw.
We started with the house made tater tots, which were very good. I ordered the cedar planked salmon and it was delish. It came with green beans and carrots which were very good but a bit too al dente. I was really looking forward to the garlic mashed potatoes, and was disappointed they arrived barely lukewarm, as did my husbands. He ate his, but I hate eating cold potatoes! A woman (not our server) came by and asked how things were, and I told her about the cold potatoes. She promptly brought out some steaming ones. Much better! Just wish they had a more garlicy flavor, I couldn't detect any garlic.
My husband ordered the bbq ribs. I had a bite and they were very moist and not at all fatty. The flavor was pretty good, nothing spectacular. Think they could adjust the seasoning a bit and they could be outstanding.
We split the cheesecake and it was really good. I was impressed that all desserts are house made. All in all we enjoyed our evening at Carson's, and...
