Negative 10000 stars. Stole money from me. Very Rude. Took a $20 and stated gave them a $10. Said would never come again. They said "Good don't ever come back". Obvious Bigots/Racists in the heart of Ann Arbor
A place that WILL MAKE YOU SICK: Restaurant inspections for Washtenaw County in September 2015: RESTAURANT Evergreen Oriental Inc. ADDRESS 2771 Plymouth Road CITY Ann Arbor Priority Violations 8 Priority Foundation Violations 5 Core Violations 13 Total Violations 26
Evergreen Oriental (2771 Plymouth Road) had the most violations in the report, with 26. Eight of those violations were priority violations, though a follow-up inspection later in the month showed that all priority violations had been corrected.
Food employees were observed to rinse off hands instead of employing proper handwash. In addition many of the food employees did not wash hands during the length of the inspection. At onset of the inspection several employees were observed to be eating on the prep table in the kitchen and did not wash hands prior to going back to food sevice. Also further evidenced by soap missing from the sink in the prep area. Retrain employees on proper handwashing procedure to clean hands with soap and water rubbing hands vigorously for a minimum of 20 seconds and when to wash hands. Correct as indicated above.

Severe infestation of drainflies/gnats observed throughout the facility especially near the drains. Call exterminator for treatment of drainflies. In addition you must remove all harborage conditions including food debris accumulation at floor wall junctures, in between shelving and equipment. To correct call the exterminator.
The following food contact surfaces were found to be dirty and not cleaned according to the required frequency: pan style scoops used to portion food prior to woking, cutting boards stored between the sinks, knives on knife rack and assorted utensils in bucket on floor next to prep line. All food contact surfaces are required to be cleaned at the above specified time frames to minimize potential for bacterial growth. To correct, clean now and place on a more frequent cleaning schedule as indicated above.

Read moreI used Uber Eats to order General Tso's Tofu from them, two times, some months ago. BOTH times (I repeat, BOTH times), they sent General Tso's Chicken instead. (I am a vegetarian.) When I called them about this error and requested them to deliver my correct order, I was refused since the restaurant does not have a car. I was given store credit both times, for which I am thankful. (I was asked to take photos of the chicken as a proof, probably to ensure that I was not lying.) When I asked them why this mess-up happened twice in a row, I was told that the General Tso's Tofu and General Tso's Chicken are kept nearby inside their kitchen. Even if both tofu and chicken were lying nearby, it is impossible to not distinguish their chicken and tofu since it looks quite different. This makes me wonder if the food delivered to restaurants are frozen entrees which are just reheated and the mess-up happened while collecting the frozen entrees from the refrigerator and nobody bothered to open the box before reheating it.
I really like supporting our local restaurants and I was willing to forget everything until today. I decided to use my store credit today. When I went in the restaurant to collect the food, the receptionist was unable to understand why I was not paying. When they realized that I am using my store credit, they were not happy about it. When I tried to explain my situation, the receptionist raised their voice at me in front of other customers and my friend. At last, when the food arrived, the staff had the audacity to snidely remark that I check if this time I had my correct order (tofu) and not chicken.
Overall, I felt insulted and humiliated by the staff of this restaurant in this ordeal. Is this how a customer should be treated?
As mentioned above, I was willing to forget and forgive everything until today. But after today's experience, I feel it necessary to caution other customers (especially those ordering take-out) and I am now annoyed enough to actively dissuade others from patronizing this restaurant until they properly train their kitchen staff and their reception staff.
I am taking my business elsewhere. Plenty of great Chinese food options in Ann Arbor who will respect their customers!
P.S.: I have attached the photo of the General Tso's Chicken that I was given. I had taken this photo since I was asked by the restaurant to maintain...
Read moreI’ve been eating here for almost a decade and this used to be my favorite Chinese food restaurant. So much so that we would drive 30 mins, past several other Chinese food restaurants just to eat at this one. Over the last couple years, service and quality have deteriorated. It’s now average at best. I just ate here and it will be my last time. I’m done giving it a chance. It took almost 10 mins to see the server and place our order. Crab Rangoons came out cold. When they returned they had just dropped them back in the fryer including the ones that were partially eaten minus 1. The meal took more than an hour to get as we watched all other tables around us that came in after we ordered get their meals including fried orders. When we finally saw the server to ask about our meal she said the fryer was busy but ours was next which was almost an hour after we ordered. The small bowl of fried rice was not freshly made and was cool and dried out. While the plate of General chicken seemed freshly made and hot it contained very little chicken. It was mostly fried breading with sauce. It was so bad that I started cutting into the pieces to eat the little chicken there was. When I was finished you could hardly tell I ate anything as the plate was more than half filled with uneaten breading. Once the meal arrived we never saw our server again. We finished and waited and eventually another server arrived with the check and to cash us out. Eat here at your own risk. Or try any other Chinese take out place located in a strip mall. You have a better chance of getting a...
