Thurston Nature Center — Attraction in Ann Arbor

Omgosh this nature center is just the cutest. Well maintained paths around the Little lake with tons of benches to sit and watch the water or maybe fish. It connects to two different school yards which are enormous and integrates really well with the neighborhood houses. I absolutely loved seeing all of the kids outside playing or riding their bikes which doesn't happen as much in my neighborhood. All in All ~ a beautiful well marked area....Try it out....in the midst of a neighborhood, but you would not know it except by seeing a few houses! Beautiful nature center with a pond, lots of wildlife, well-groomed trails, and (surprisingly) low usage (I can often walk the perimeter without seeing anyone else). There's raspberries, but also a little bit of poison ivy, so stay on the trail if you can't tell...
