TLDR; Automatic 20% gratuity for my party of 3, inexperienced (?) bartender, but great food

I want to start this review off by saying that everything my party of 3 ordered was one of the best tasting meals I’ve had in quite a while. Collectively we ordered the bruschetta, cheesy bread, salad, fettuccine, pesto, and a pizza, and every single item was next to impossible to put down and had me drooling for my next bite.

That being said, our experience was quite an odd one. Like others have mentioned, there was virtually no one in here for the dinner rush on a Monday evening. Our waitress was nice, but I admit every interaction with her seemed like it was only her first or second time ever serving, and it seemed like she was the only one in the from of house. All of us ordered drinks, the other two with me ordered off of their drink menu and as I saw that they offered two different kinds of margaritas I asked if she could make a traditional one, to which she replied they can only make what’s on the menu. Noticing there was a fully stocked bar behind us, I didn’t want to ask, but I ultimately went with the lemoncello. It was alright. My friend who went with the signature old fashioned (which came out half full) asked us to each try it. I am extremely skeptical (just as all of us were) if there is a chance she potentially.. forgot to add the liquor? The same friend ultimately went to order a beer (off of the beer menu) to which she replied she can’t get because it’s in the basement… and she can’t go down there. I truly felt a bit sorry for her as I did not want to make her feel stupid, but as the dinner went on every single interaction just kept myself and my friends looking at each other like… seriously?

I want to again note that the food was absolutely delicious. By the time the bill came we were stuffed, had to go boxes and agreed aside from the weirdness it was a good meal. Then we noticed on our bill… 20% auto gratuity… as a party of 3. This is not my place to dispute the unfair wages servers make, and regardless of all the things I noticed she was still kind, attentive and did not forget anything we ordered, and deserved a great tip. However if this hadn’t been the case, it’s absolutely insane to imagine tacking that on with all the foolishness of not being able to get certain drinks offered, not seeming fully trained.. on top of which I don’t believe the auto gratuity was posted anywhere on the menu or in the restaurant! I would really love to see the owners response to this and hopefully they can make some changes. I would love to eat here again, potentially take out, but I do not imagine I could dine in again without some...

We hosted a day-after-wedding celebration for 100 people and reserved their lower-level space, which had an amazing speakeasy vibe. Maxx, the owner, and Carlos, the head chef, were incredibly accommodating and so helpful throughout the whole process, especially with figuring out how much food we’d need for a group that size. The food was absolutely incredible—everyone we talked to raved about it! The pickle pizza, which we didn’t expect to be such a hit, ended up being a crowd favorite, and the calamari was just as popular.

Our guests loved the wide selection of drinks and beers on draft, and the team was great about providing vegan options to meet our requests (amazing cauliflower wings!!). We also wanted to catch some college football during the event, and this place delivered! It had plenty of TVs, but without feeling like your typical sports bar, which was perfect for us.

The bartenders in our area were fast, super friendly, and so easy to work with.

Overall, we couldn’t have been happier with how the day turned out. The amazing staff and incredible food made it...

I ordered a BBQ chicken pizza with less cheese for pick up on the phone. They had put less cheese which I appreciate but it had bacon which was not described on their menu. It was disappointing since my friend who I was going to share the pizza with doesn't eat pork.

I called to let them know/ ask what had happened. If anything to update their menu so this doesn't happen to someone else. She was apologetic and asked if I wanted the pizza remade but it was late and I didn't want to go back and forth again. She said she was going to check with the cook, she came back to say she was going to check with her manager, I assumed to give me an update but then she proceeded to leave me on the line (not on hold) where I could just hear all the staff bickering in the background. After being on the line for 10 minutes I just assumed she had forgotten I was on the line and hung up.

My issue is more for the fact that she forgot I was on the phone and had the line open to hear then bickering than the actual bacon on the pizza. Hope they keep this in mind...

What an amazing experience! This was our first visit and we were incredibly impressed. Our server was Sol. She was helpful, kind, and knowledgeable. Our order included bruchetta, pistachio pesto pasta, veggie pizza, and garlic knots. The ingredients were fresh and flavorful. The in house made sangria is the best we have tasted anywhere. We were also given a private tour of the downstairs speak easy. The atmosphere is so hip and entertaining. A full cigar bar is also available. We learned that the site bakes all breads and doughs fresh, too. I highly recommend adding this to your must visit list.

Service was GREAT - two waited on us, one brought food and one took are orders - great team. Ordered the sweet heat pizza 4 slice and a caprese salad to split. Salad was great - gone before I even thought about a picture🤷‍♀️ Tried the pizza - was a bit too rich for me but very tasty, will try others next time. Very flavorful with a nice bite. Tastefully decorated smaller restaurant - will be back for sure! Waitress was nice and checked on us often - very nice evening and then visited the speakeasy in the basement thru the secret passage:) 👍🏼👍🏼

The food was fabulous. The staff was very experienced and helpful. All the specialty drinks were fantastic. I highly recommend the cherry smoked old fashioned as well as the maple. The sabadical hopefully I’m spelling it correctly was fantastic. As for food the stuffed peppers with goat cheese were awesome as well as the brussel sprouts. My fave was the charcuterie board. I truly have zero complaints. I would truly recommend this to everyone great place with a great atmosphere.
