Liberty Plaza is an interesting park. It is a sunken plaza, no grass, many seats, and a good amount of shade. It is a perfect location and design for homeless people to spend their time, and there is plenty of seating for people to spend their time & "loiter". Honestly, based on the way that the park is designed it is a perfect safe haven for poor/homeless people to spend some time, which is a good thing. I find it interesting that Ann Arbor and the Bank of Ann Arbor run music events there such as the Sonic Lunch events there bringing a whole bunch of more affluent people to that park. I stumbled upon Sonic Lunch and hung out there for a while today and the event was great-- the sunken plaza is perfect...
