Tried coming here a few times when we were in town and every time it was closed, today it was open and finally got to try it. This place has been around since I was in high school (that I took note of at least) and figured it had to be good. I ordered a tuna melt sandwich, my sons got hamburger meals and they came on big pieces of bread, not a bun. Looked good though. One kid liked it, the other thought it was too much and wouldn’t eat the crust. My tuna sandwich was huge! Took up the entire take out container! But it unfortunately wasn’t the best tuna I’ve had. Pretty bland and needed mayo or salt or both. Just not good flavor, at all. Really wanted to like it. Even got donuts, but the chocolate frosting wasn’t the best either. The owner, Dimo, helped us (or at least that’s what a customer behind us called him) and he was super nice and helpful, my kids liked him. Wish I would have enjoyed the food more, but maybe it’s just not for me.

Feb 13th 2024 Paczki day!!! Soo good!!! Flavors: Blueberry, Raspberry, Strawberry, Apple, Buttercream and Custard 😋 Apple fritters, donuts, and sandwiches are the best in town! Better than Zingerman's Deli in my opinion. Sandwiches are monster sized and great selection to choose from...plus burgers and fries! Hidden in the menu is a falafel sandwich or platter that's great on a summer day. Love the owner and his humor. Brings a smile and laugh to all who walk through his door. 😂 Update Dec 2021... pics of Turkey Club and Grilled Ham and Cheese sandwiches! Plus order of hash browns with cheddar cheese and veggies! Of course, yummy donuts!

Huge value!! A $10 sandwich is easily 2 meals. Fresh baked bread daily, in house. Great atmosphere - the owner likes to pick on you, makes you feel like family. Things you may not know or see from a casual visit. EVERY single time I have asked for a food donation for my high school students, the answer has been yes. The same employees have been there for 6 years, there is a very low turn over - they treat their employees well. Generational family estabishment. They use local good when they can, like better made chips. This place is a must for any visit to Ann Arbor. They have a very nice middle eastern menu for vegetarians too.

I am a Canadian immigrant who came to Ann Arbor after meeting my wife. I don't many Ann Arbor natives talking about this place. This should be an Ann Arbor staple with how good the experience is.

The food is deli style sandwiches made from workers that give you that zero patience style service you'd expect at blimpy burger. The owner is a character straight out of a movie, he might tell you to hurry it up but you can tell he has a heart of gold and genuinely enjoys being there.

If you've never had anything here I can only recommend the Reubens as it's the only sandwich I've ordered but I enjoyed it so much I can't stop getting it. That being said with how crispy and robust their bread is and how perfect the meat to sauce ratio is, I know you can't go wrong with whatever you decide to get.

You also get chips and a pickle with your order and the sandwiches themselves are extremely generous in portion size. This place...

This may have been the most magical donut of my existence. One gloriously glazed ring of fluffy, yeasty wonder. It was like coming home to a cozy fireplace and a snuggly pet and a good book. I had a -positive -almost visceral reaponse: it brought a tear to my eye and a smile to my lips. Despite the rain, it felt like the sun was shining and I was in a Disney movie. Bonus: The guy working the counter (I was so enthralled by his energy I didn't catch his name) was so friendly and on top of things; he was able to take an order and carry on polite but funny banter with everyone around him. I'd probably pay to see a Vegas show of this guy just interacting with people in the audience. I'm definitely coming back. If the deli is half as good (and that selection, wow!), I may gain 40...
