Imagine a Thai green curry with chicken without the chicken. That is what I got when I ordered Thai green curry with chicken.
I needed to use the restroom first thing when I got there so I asked the "host" where that was and he motioned toward it and after I was done I returned to the front desk area to be seated and it was funny how he acted. It was as if he didn't know what I was there for.
Strangely enough, he seated me back toward the bathrooms at a table for four when there were all kinds of two tops available by the windows. you would think he would want to seat people in the windows so that outsiders could tell that it was a lively restaurant.
He basically abandoned me. There was one server and she was busy with another table of three ladies. She never looked up once to acknowledge me. After about 10 minutes, I finally caught his eye and he came over and took my order.
I ordered Thai green curry with chicken. It was about a 15 minute wait to receive the food.
I will say the broth was delicious, not too spicy. But I had difficulty finding any chicken in the dish. I counted six tiny pieces of chicken among the red and green bell pepper, the eggplant, and what was I believe a radish of some sort - bit like a water chestnut in the crunch department.
After flagging down the woman she brought my check. I gave them an 18% tip and the total came to about $22.
On my way out I told them that the dish could use more chicken for $20 and they laughed and smiled like I was giving them a compliment.
I'm not sure if the gentleman is the manager or owner but he really needs to get on his game because that restaurant is going to go under. I know it's been around for eight years, but there was barely anybody in there when I was. The fact that I ordered a chicken curry and got a sprinkling of chicken in it was so absurd it was almost comical.
In other words, this restaurant is a joke. Unless they fix it, and I will be back just to see if they've improved at all, they are...
Read moreI ate at Saica Sushi recently. I ordered three vegetarian rolls.
The rolls are made by two guys near the cashier's counter. They do not wear masks and probably not even gloves. When the rolls were brought to me, there was a hair on one of the rolls. I pointed that out to the manager and he took it back to the "rolls counter". The "rolls guys" hastily re-made one of the rolls, this time without hair fortunately!
My server was nice and polite and wore a mask at all times. However, I was put off by the two maskless "rolls guys" who put hair into my food.
I usually refrain from negatively reviewing any business. However, this has happened with me on one previous occasion at the same restaurant. On that occasion, I found a long hair in my drink. The drink was promptly replaced, but considering that I found hair in my food on two separate occasions, I thought I should warn other customers. Their food is good, but don't be alarmed if you find hair etc. in your food.
My suggestion to the restaurant is that they should train the staff in proper hygiene...
Read moreFood was wonderful and the service very good. We wanted to try new foods and unfortunately I didn't get a pic of the me u so I don't remember the names. Has some sushi and that was probably the only thing I thought could have been better. Had salmon for and it was kind of dried and stuck together, as if had been made earlier. Miso soup to start was nice and very fresh. The Tako Yaki/octopus balls were delightful and lovely presentation. The tofu soup, sorry don't remember the name, was alright but not fantastic. Didn't make a good vegetarian entré nut the presentation was fantastic as it came to the table bubbling and boiling away. Brought most of it home. We also had something like Bibimbop (Hwauh bimbop?) but was fresh fish instead of meat? See the pics. It was spectacular. Really the highlight. The greens were so fresh and crisp and the rest of it was delicious especially with the chili sauce. Overall would...
