As a Korean I have to say this is one of the best Korean restaurant around the area. The food is always on point, they never freeze their porkbelly so the texture and taste is phenomenal. They make their own home made Rice Wine and Mandoo (dumplings) and my family always calls and places orders on the dumplings when they do make them. Today I visited this restaurant. But, I had a terrible experience at this restaurant. The owner and staff were extremely unfriendly and never asked if the food was okay. The most shocking part was that a cockroach came out during my meal. When I informed the owner, there was not a single apology; instead, they rudely told me to leave a tip. And I asked to refill a side dish, but he said "No". There was no greeting or farewell at the end of my visit. The owner was very unfriendly, and the hygiene was appalling. The food is great! Scallion kimchi and cabbage kimchi are very well fermented, reminds me of my grandma's. The side dishes are very authentic and traditional, which could be a bit unfamilar to people accustomed to modern and sweetened Americanized Korean food. Samgyeopsal, Soybean soup, Kimchi stew all great with general amount of samgyeopsal pieces in it. Wonder why it's never crowded, I guess because the owner isn't very friendly?
