This was our first time here since the new ownership. I ordered the smoked wings (naked) with a side of parmesan truffle fries. It was all delicious. The wings were perfectly smoked, crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside. Also, there were 14 wings! The fries were crispy and had a great flavor. My husband had the special Texan Burger and sweet potato tots. The burger patty was huge and was cooked well. He really enjoyed it and said the house bbq sauce that was on it was thin, but tasty. He really enjoyed his tots too. He had two beers that he liked with his meal. Service was good and prompt. Now for the cons: the singer/ entertainment was not great and was loud enough that you couldn't have a conversation with the person across the table from you without almost yelling. Will definitely try to go back when there's no live musician. We tried the banana pudding for dessert. The menu touts it as homemade and like your grandma made. If this is how your grandmother made banana pudding, you have lived an unfulfilled life. It was "vanilla pudding" (it's in quotes because it really didn't have any flavor-not even vanilla), no vanilla wafers except the one whole one and some crumbs on top for garnish, whipped cream and some gray, slimy bananas at the bottom. This was NOT Southern homemade banana pudding. This was banana pudding for people who don't know how to make custard or meringue. We couldn't even finish it because it was not even remotely appetizing. Try another dessert. We will be back and we will try other menu...

Excellent food once we got it. We were seated fairly quickly on a busy sat night. Once seated we sat probably 12-15 min before being greeted and drink orders taken. Waitress not friendly at all, but not really an issue there. Took us 20-25 min to get 2 apps and 1 entree. All food was good and worth the wait EXCEPT the mile high wedge. I love love love a wedge so I ordered this and was pretty excited about it. It was NOT manageable at all. Instead of a normal wedge, the romaine is literally stalked and piled on the plate in huge pieces, bacon crumbles, feta crumbles and red onion on bottom. Now after the preparation I had to make to eat it, which took 10 min, it was very good. Just messy as you can imagine. Not worth the time to prep it though. Just stick to the normal wedge. Easy peasy. Several waitresses standing behind the bar ignoring everyone didn't sit right either. The nice guy with long hair who brought our food out was the most pleasant thing about the whole visit. Very nice guy. Good food too. Just dont order the mile high wedge. The rougaroux was awesome and so were...

The food is delicious. We are here twice this week. The first time went great. Server was amazing. Especially with 15 of us there. The burnt ends, to die for. The wings…. AMAZING! Also get the truffle fries and nachos.

BUUUUTTT…. We went again tonight, wasn’t quite the same experience. The food was again delicious, but the service struggled. To start, there was a huge disconnect between the servers and the kitchen. The food came out at very different times. No one got their food at the same time. It was disappointing to be one person eating, and waiting for food to come out. Also, they were out completely out of pasta and wings which is what some of us really wanted.

We also had to wait a bit for clean utensils as they had zero when we got there. Our food came out prior to having clean utensils.

Please also find some type of ventilation system. The smoke from the kitchen was overwhelming in the guest area.

Everyone has bad days, which is why I still gave a 4 star. The food that is available is delicious!!! Should absolutely give it a try!...

First time going there. It was a great experience. We had a wonderful young lady as our server. The food was excellent. Service was excellent the atmosphere was great. I have nothing but good things to say about this beautiful historic building and the fact they have turned it into a beautiful restaurant and gathering place. We had family in from Virginia and they were also impressed with everything mentioned. We will be back and will update the food pictures. Sorry. It was so good we ate it before thinking of taking pictures. I would recommend the Green fried tomatoes as an appetizer! It was delicious! UPdate: We returned to eat again there. Had a most wonderfully pleasant young lady named Abby as our waitress this 2nd time. She was so sweet and helpful and welcoming ! I had the wedge salad. Which was huge! Tried the special a Cajun chicken sandwich with sweet potato waffle fries and another fried green tomatoes the sauce is superb !! We have found a spot that will become one of our regular places to grab a good meal.

Finally got the chance to try this place and thoroughly enjoyed it! Since it’s pet-friendly, I sat outside with my service dog and was blown away at the amount of space and accommodations for them. They brought out a customized clean bowl and an extra water for him without me asking and the people serving us were very obviously dog people. He loved it and remained relaxed the whole time. The architecture and look of the building pays homage to the old, small town Anniston vibes while mixing in newer technology and decor with a rustic twist. It’s a large building, too. On top of that, there’s a whole other restaurant’s-worth of outdoor seating, even with fire pits, where I’m assuming all the live music magic happens. I hope to perform here soon. I’m tryna see what they have planned for that grill too 😂. Definitely a hidden gem worth all the hype! See captions for food reviews.
