My wife and I went to Billy's for lunch. There was a vintage fair going on in Anoka. We were seated after a couple of minute wait. A few minutes later the server came over and took a drink order. She came back with them a few minutes later and we ordered a burger each. We waited a while and she gave me a couple of refills. After close to 45 minutes my wife stopped the server and asked her to check on our order. She sharply replied that there was a vintage fair going on but she would check. She came back and said that the orders were still coming and that for full transparency there were only 4 servers and no runners and they were trying to take care of everything. While I appreciate the knowledge please don't be snotty to us and take your frustrations out on us. I'm not responsible for your staffing issues. She brought our food out about 10-15 minutes later. She gave my wife hers and gave me mine. I looked at it and told her that's not a mushroom and swiss burger. She said it isn't?, looked at it closer and said it's a patty melt. She took it and said she would check on mine. She came back 5-10 minutes later and told me that someone else took my order and she was going to have it remade. She emphasized that it wasn't her fault. I don't care who's fault. I had just waited over an hour and watched my wife eat and still had no food. I told her to cancel it that I was done. She emphasize again it wasn't her fault and asked if i wanted to speak to a manager. i said yes. She came over and basically said that it's busy and what did i expect...didn't we wait a long time to get in-no we didn't...didn't we have trouble parking---no we didn't. I told her that i still didn't even have my food yet as the wrong one was brought out. Her answer was 'oh'. By this time the server brought my lunch out, i told her to cancel it. The manager's only answer was 'i'll take it off of the bill'. The server walked by without saying anything and put the bill for my wifes burger and my drink on the table and walked away. We threw cash on the table and put on our coats. As i'm putting on my coat the server says to my back 'sorry for the issue'. We left. Apparently i was unreasonable for thinking we could have burgers served to us correctly in an hour. Because they had staffing issues and confusion in the kitchen they told me i had unreasonable expectation and rudely to me 'what did i expect'. What i expect is to be treated better...
Read moreThe customers are awesome. If you see anything unsettling or not on the up and up. Don't post about it, because the next time you are there. They will make a felonious police call to have you physically removed by the police. Utilizing valuable resources for the city of Anoka, because the I can only guess I seen something that I shouldn't have seen and I posted about it, no staff names or descriptions were in my comment, apparently the Bartender must have felt guilty about it. Rather than responding and getting a head of what I (along with 4 others) witnessed after bar close on Friday night.. I was the only one that apparently made a statement of what I thought the situation looked like. The next time I go there.. apparently the Bartender was still bothered about what I believe I witnessed and chose to make an exaggerated call to the police department to have me escorted out. BECAUSE OF WHAT I WITNESSED THE NIGHT BEFORE..
Businesses get reviews and not all of them are full of Hearts and Daisy. Making a public response to my comment on the situation I witnessed, taking a moment to realize how a normal person would have perceived that moment. and possibly clarify what actually was going on. Would have been a respectful way for a business to respond.
Nope that is not how they handled that. They called the police falsely accused of me of being combative and refusing to leave. so the police would make an experience of removing me to apparently entertain the butt hurt Bartender. My husband was outside he had just pulled up to pick me up, at the sametime the squads were swarming to the bar. And it all time stamped on our dash camera.
This was completely blown out of control, and the way they are acting, makes it look like they are trying to hide something. I guess we'll see, I believe false police reports are illegal. And I will doing my research at the Anoka Police department Monday morning with my documentation, to look into that call and potentially have...
Read moreI've been going to Billy's since my uncle was a chef there (about 30 years ago). Over the past few years, the evening and weekend service has become slow and unprofessional. The young man I've talked to a couple of times was polite, and this place did accommodate our gathering after my aunts funeral, but nobody ever p the phone, and nobody calls back. I had to plan the luncheon after my aunt's funeral by email and text. After leaving my tablet pen on the table after a business lunch, I called to get a hold of someone to put it away for me so I could pick it up, but nobody answered or called back. So I stopped by there the next day and was told the bartender had access to the list and found. We waited in the bar for the bartender to come back to the bar from a break and waited about 20 minutes. When I asked him about the stylus, he seemed very inconvenienced and made it sound like he didn't have access or time to look. He told me to call someone the next day. So I did, and all I got was an answering machine... and nobody called back when I left yet another message. By now, I'm sure someone else has taken possession of my stylus, which is very frustrating because I tried to call them right away to get it back. We were there when the day staff was ending their shift, and the afternoon/evening shift was coming on. The service quality dropped at shift change, and the next day, the young man I spoke to was polite but wasn't sure where lost and found was. And the bartender? Well, I hope he makes great drinks because he lacks service and interpersonal skills. Why doesn't anyone answer the phone or call back? Particularly over a lost ianMkbPoNq3rpdd15tz6 ĵm.
