PLEASE NOTE: I've rated this location with regard to other fast-casual Chinese restaurants that are similar to it in mind. If you are reading this, please keep this in mind throughout the review! Also, keep in mind that to receive a five-star rating would require me to love almost everything about the place and so I reserve that star for places that exceed almost every expectation.
I have visited Wang's Kitchen quite a few times. It is a pretty decent location with good, fresh food. Food has flavor and is not overly greasy or oily. I will say the soups could have more flavor as the vegetable soup we ordered one time was a little bit bland. However, dishes don't all taste the same (which I find many Chinese fast-casual restaurants tend to have an issue with). Vegetables are fresh. I usually go with the Hunan Chicken or Chicken w/Broccoli and Fried Eggrolls or Dumplings and they taste pretty good. I also like the Fried Rice and Lo-Mein once in a while. Side Note: Actually, I would even say the Fried Dumplings here are pretty darn excellent compared to other fast-casual Chinese places! They have a nice doughy exterior and nice pork flavor on the inside paired with a good soy-based sauce (that appears to be a special dumpling sauce very similar to soy sauce). I don't prefer the Steamed Dumplings as they just don't taste the same as/compare to Fried Dumplings, in my opinion. Anyways, I am one for Hunan dishes and this place does not disappoint, as far as I'm concerned. Sauce is savory and flavorful, which I personally can appreciate. I can't really speak too much about the atmosphere as this is more of a take-out location, I would say. Though, I do think the inside specifically could use a bit of renovating. I can't speak to other people's experiences, but as far as I'm concerned, overall, it's a good location to pick up some Chinese food to-go!! Thank you for the good food! Another Side Note: Also, I often see the same man and woman here, and they seem very friendly. The woman said hello to me one time with a smile and I appreciated that. I have also seen who I believe to be their children inside the restaurant when I've ordered here before, and they are very polite and cute. I would say, however, as a word of advice, perhaps having the owners taking the orders would be better than the young kids, as a couple of times, the children have picked up the phone and seemed confused with the order I was placing or not sure what to do. I think it would make more sense to have the owners answering the phone, instead. Anyhow, it's a pretty good Chinese fast-casual place in...
Read moreAs we approached, we noticed the front of it looked a little dirty. When walked in, little kids were sleeping on floor. The lady was not very friendly and we did not seem welcome. The best part of the experience was the beautiful stallion painting covering one wall. As dust mites hung from the air vents, we scarffed down some food that I most likely could buy at 7/11. One of the worker ls took the sleeping asain girl to the bathrrom and when came out, never washed his hands. When i walked to get my own silverware (because they decided not to provide us some) my feet were suction cupped to the sticky floor. overall the time my family had at Wangs was top teir and is most definitely our...
Read moreDON'T DO IT!!! Walked in to two kids and a man sitting in the dinning area. Had to wait for "lady to finish phone call for order". Large Spicy Shrimp Please. Paid in advance. Turned around to see the man holding his hand up to smack the boy in the face. Great.. After a few awkward moments the little girl came over to me to show me her balloon. lol Very sweat child, then the boy hit me with a toy. lol "Lady" gives me my food, I leave. When I began eating it, it had way too much crunch and no spice. There seemed to be chucks of sand or dirt in it. I'll never...
