Dave’s Hot Chicken — Restaurant in Apple Valley

Tonight is the Third time I have ordered food from Dave’s hot chicken and it will be the last time I ever spend any of my money at their restaurant. Down here from to try it out because talking about how good their chicken slider sandwiches are. The first time I tried it I would say that it was a basic MID chicken sandwich. I thought I would give it another chance maybe it was just an off night. So anyway the second time I came through the drive-through ordered food, and when I got home to Bloomington and opened up my order, they had only given me one chicken slider, and one chicken tender when I ordered the number two which should have two sliders. Also, the slider was missing the kale slaw. I called up and spoke to a manager about it to see if they could do something.about it the next time I came in to make up for it, they told me yes and my name and phone number. So tonight when I went there, I told the girl working about it and they literally just played stupid like they had no idea what I was talking about and kept speaking to each other about me in Spanish. They basically just said that there was nothing they could do for me. Then offered to give me one free chicken slider extra, which I don’t need to eat three chicken sandwiches. So I asked her if she could just credit me one on my order and she said no. That’s fine because I just won’t go back. Maybe I will make a dispute on my credit card that I used to pay for it. It’s just really sad the service that you get these days a lot of these places. You pay top dollar for things and nobody cares about the customer’s experience. There are the new hot restaurant in town and they’re making plenty of money like they care if they lose a customer. They can keep their overpriced, mid-level sliders, and screw up somebody else’s orders.. I used to never complain or write these reviews, but hopefully someone reads this and decides to not go there...

First time trying Dave’s and it was great!

Service was fast and the staff were efficient, thorough, and very kind & helpful - the person taking my order at the drive thru asked if I had been there before and when I said I hadn’t, they explained the options to me which was very kind - most places would never ask to begin with and just leave you to figure it out yourself.

The food was pretty good. Sadly I have absolutely zero spice tolerance, so I was glad to see that No Spice was an option. The chicken tenders were LARGE and cooked well - crispy outside and juicy inside. I found the flavor of the chicken to be pretty bland on its own, which leads me to believe that they rely on the sauces for most of their flavor. They were best dipped in the Dave’s sauce (which is sweet and tangy) or honey. I also felt like the Mac and cheese was really underwhelming. The noodles were too soft for my liking and they were drowning in cheese sauce. No real cheese or much flavor. Not a side that I would personally re-order. The fries, on the other hand, were very good! Crispy, even after a 20-minute drive home, and nicely seasoned. I also liked that you could order a large side of the pickles!

The best part of my meal was definitely the slider, which comes with one of the tenders, Dave’s sauce, pickles, and kale slaw on a soft potato bun. VERY tasty! I would go back for that alone, but I’m looking forward to trying some of the other menu options...

It’s my first time being here and I only heard of this from tictok and as I’m looking at the menu I felt very rushed to order. Like the lady is like hi how may I help you and I tell her just give me a second I’m looking at the menu. She asked me again if I was ready like 15seconds later I tell her no I’m not ready just give me a minute and few seconds later she’s asks me if I’m ready. I don’t know why she was rushing me when nobody was behind my car. So I ordered I got the Slider and fries and I really thought it would fill me up because on tictok and on the reviews here with the pictures of food it looked really big. But when I got my sandwich the chicken was so skinny. I also had to buy the drink since it doesn’t come with it? Like why? I ended up paying almost $15. I’m pissed at myself not taking pictures of my sandwich to show how skinny the chicken tenders were because when I got home I eat it right away since I was hungry. Slider tasted really good I got Hot level maybe next time I’ll get extra hot. Fries didn’t tasted anything I saw they added seasoning but I didn’t taste anything. Dave please make a combo with drinks included. $15 is not a lot of money but for that portion I got $15 was...
