This is typically my go-to place for Chinese food in the area and the food and service are typically great. However I tried their online ordering for the first time yesterday and was baffled at how bad the experience was. I placed an order for 7:15 pm through their website about 40 minutes ahead of time. When I arrived there were about 8-10 people waiting for online pickup orders (either DoorDash or themselves) who all had no idea when their order was going to be ready and told me they were informed that orders were about 20 minutes behind. There were orders waiting out that had no names on the bags so people didn't know who's they were. During this there are customers coming in to place direct orders as normal. The main issues I ran into were:

  1. There is no message board or information to say whose orders are ready for pickup or whose orders are next to be made. No employees came out to check who was there for food pickup or to give any updates. One online order customer asked the manager where her food was and he immediately made it for her skipping over others who were there 15+ minutes prior. They have a couple of TVs that could potentially have a list like this. I've seen the technology at Pizza Hut and other places.
  2. The employees kept saying they "were in the weeds" on online orders, but kept focusing on new customers coming in instead of trying to take some time to catch up. I was confused why if they were so far behind they couldn't pause taking new customers and just catch up for a few minutes.
  3. The employees told various people waiting for online orders that they were waiting on an item (spring roll or wanton) that they were currently serving to customers in line. If the orders were 20+ minutes behind why were they reserving food items for customers in line?
  4. I could have gone through the food line 3-4 times in the time I waited for my online order which I did not receive until 7:45 (30 minutes late). It defeats the purpose of making an online order to skip the line. I was not approached a single time by an employee to be told what the delay was nor was there an apology for the delay.

I want to reiterate that this is my favorite Chinese food place in the area and my experiences are normally great. It would be great if they could change some policy changes in their online order pickup area to improve the...

I visited this location which I do on a frequent basis. Employee (Noah) and the general manager (Ohm). I have never been in Panda Express and being treated so poorly especially by a general manager. Firstly upon entering the store I was never greeted. Noah from the beginning had an attitude as if I was the reason for his frustration. He had very poor customer service. Then I proceed to order, asked if an entree item was fresh because it appeared that it had been out way longer than 30 mins. I was told they would not waste food on me or make me fresh food. I then ask Ohm if I purchase the food and it’s not fresh, would I be able to get fresh food made , I was told “don’t buy it then”. He grabs a food thermometer and says it has to be a certain temperature but never shows me the thermometer. I’m assuming the food was the temperature he thought it was. I asked for the receipt for my purchase and the manager said he couldn’t or wouldn’t reprint my receipt. Noah yells a crossed the counter that my boyfriend said he didn’t want it. I responded that I am now asking for the receipt. At this point I want to contact corporate and need the order number off the receipt. Noah stops helping a customer and goes outside to say something to my boyfriend, as if my boyfriend would change the fact that I want a copy of the receipt. The GM walks away for a couple of minutes then proceeds to hand me a receipt out of the store trash behind the counter. Then tells me to wait outside the door for my order that I have already paid for. I stand outside for 10mins waiting on the food that was supposed to be fresh. The food turned out to not be fresh after all. Very horrible experience and customer service. I think next time I will travel to the next city for Panda Express. I have never been so upset after visiting a restaurant that I wrote a review or wanting to contact corporate. This overall experience was beyond terrible and disappointing. I’m hoping that corporate actually calls me back with some kind of feedback because I spend a lot of money here as this a...

I stopped in for lunch on 11-12-24 and ordered the same 3 entree platter I always order. It's called "The bigger plate" and it is priced and listed at $11.40. Sadly enough, the portion size I received was less than half as big as when you order at dinner time. However, I was charged the full price. To me, that is just not acceptable!!

Additionally, one of the entrees I selected, mushroom chicken, ended up not having any chicken in it. It was a few mushrooms and zucchini cubes, coated in a lot of greasy gravy. They scraped the bare minimum out of each empty pan. My side, low mein noodles, was cold and again, it was less than half the portion of what you normally get when you order for dinner.

I went back to the counter to double check on the chicken mushroom dish to confirm the sign stated Chicken Mushroom. It did say Chicken Mushroom. Sadly, no one asked if I needed help and no one came to the table to check and see if everything was okay. Everyone turned their backs. Overall, it was a most disappointing lunch experience. I talked to a couple of my neighbors who go to the same location. Both have stated that that location is not well managed and that they had encountered similar bad experiences. I contacted Panda Express via their website and filed a written complaint and received no response whatsoever. It is sad that chains like Panda Express get away with this kind of thing and take no...

Decided to get Chinese for lunch today. I got the plate with half fried rice and half chow mein noodles for the side and for entrees I got the new honey sesame chicken and Beijing beef. The fried rice is good. The noodles is a little burnt and super dry. The Beijing beef is decent with a bit of sweetness but no spice as advertised. The honey chicken is okay, a hint of subtle honey flavor but the lacking the veggies, and the few that I did have is over cooked and wilted. Both entrees are suppose to have a crispy outer coating which I love when it’s fresh. But I must have gotten a batch that’s been sitting because they were both pretty soggy by the time I picked it up. Overall, with the online order discount code HONEYISBACK for $3 off $5 purchase, can’t beat the price for a decent lunch that will fill you up.

Restaurant was clean, however as someone from out of town looking forward to eating there (we don’t have one in Rochester, MN) I frequent the twin cities for business. I was very disappointed. The honey walnut shrimp (always my fave) tasted as if it had been cooked in an unrinsed pan of orange chicken (the sauce was pretty bad), the orange chicken and sesame chicken were so spicy they were inedible for me and my 6yr old. When ordering the honey walnut shrimp I was informed on the line that it would be $7 extra for a side container of it. Okay no big deal I was really looking forward to it! Get to the register and was told it was actually $10, still money wasn’t an issue. But it just tasted like disappointment. I was also informed that the misquoted price of $7 was from a manager! Probably won’t be revisiting here.

Came pretty hungry, got my food and went home. I took a few bites and noticed black specs all over my food. I came back since I only live a few minutes away with my barely touched plate to get a rufund when the employee told me he cant refund me since I touched the plate, that the vegetables were only burnt (which didnt make sense since the specs where on every piece of food not just the veggies) and he can only give me a new plate. I could tell that the food wasnt burnt that the specs are likely from the cooking equipment not being cleaned properly and that this plate shouldve never have been sold in the first place. I asked him if he could guarantee that the next plate wouldnt come back looking the same and he said yes. Got my food back and it had the same stuff all over, just threw the food away and went home.
