This place used to have pretty good food, years ago. Sadly, that's no longer the case! I stopped in for a 3 choice combo platter today and the food was terrible and pretty disgusting. Everything was drenched and floating in a weird brown sauce. There was very little meat in the entrees and what was suppose to be low mein, was more like overcooked spaghetti noodles, broken into small pieces. No veggies and nothing else, just overcooked, broken noodles swimming in an icky, weird brown sauce. The same weird brown sauce drowned out the two entree choices and the take out container was messily dripping with all this crazy sauce. They clearly don't care and have zero quality control standards. I do not belief they even realize how bad their food has become, which is pretty sad. The woman who runs things seems crabby, unhappy and kind of rude and the entire place is dismal, dirty and very run down. I cannot recommend eating there and I shall not go back. It was a...
Read moreFirst, it's been a minute since I've been here. Used to come here all the time back in 2004 to 2008 as a recommendation from a coworker. This is in my top two restaurants that have the best sesame chicken in the Twin Cities. This sesame chicken is not ketchup. It has a nice garlic vibe to it. It always comes with some kind of rice today. I went with fried rice and as soon as I took a bite, I regretted it and hoped I remember next time to order the pork fried rice, the cream cheese, wontons, perfect, hot, extra crispy and lots of cream. I got a a bottle of soda and my total was only like $16. Not bad for lunch. This place doesn't seem to have changed it all. It looks exactly the same on the outside as on the inside. OK that's a lie. The forks and spoons have moved closer to the cash register and there's a few boxes on a couple tables, but I think those are growing pains from Covid. Love taking a walk down memory lane can't wait to...
Read moreFirst time every going to Egg Roll King restaurant. Originally I was going to the Super World Buffet, but it was closed on Monday. Then I decided to go to another Chinese restaurant in Eagan instead, but noticed Egg Roll King on my way out of the parking lot and figured on giving it a chance. With that said.
I ordered the Beef and Vegetable plate without the cabbage. And added bamboo shoots plus a tab bit of hot spice. Didn't want it to be too hot spiced. Followed up with 2 orders of vegetable egg rolls, fried rice, plus white rice also comes with the meal. Spent about $61 and change plus tip.
The meal was enough for my wife and I to be full that night, and had leftovers for the next night. Meal was good and flavorful. Service was good, but not great. I did tip the young lady at the front as she did make sure everything was put together proper. They don't offer a military...
